Have been playing around with the ClockTuner for Ryzen (CTR).

Think these are my new 24/7 settings for my 3950X (after alot of testing and tweaking)

CCX1 Quality 185 Frequency 4500 MHz Voltage 1325 mV OC=
CCX2 Quality 168 Frequency 4450 MHz Voltage 1325 mV OC=
CCX3 Quality 152 Frequency 4350 MHz Voltage 1325 mV OC=
CCX4 Quality 136 Frequency 4350 MHz Voltage 1325 mV OC=

Some bench values :)

Geekbench 4 @ https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/15788677
Singlecore score = 6328
Multicore score = 64197

Geekbench 5 @ https://browser.geekbench.com/v5/cpu/3983074
Singlecore score = 1366
Multicore score = 17184

Cinebench R20
Multicore score = 10486

Now i have something to compare against my "soon-to-be" Zen3 5950X :)

Have also been testing the PBO fmax beta bios :)

Geekbench 4 @ https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/15790332
Singlecore score = 6595
Multicore score = 63316

Geekbench 5 @ https://browser.geekbench.com/v5/cpu/3996062
Singlecore score = 1439
Multicore score = 17206

Cinebench R20
Singlecore = 548
Multicore score = 10052

Almost the same multicore and much better singlecore scores :)

Sounds like we need a HW review site to give us the full scoop on this microcode update. Thanks for sharing.

Tried the CTR beta 3 ..
He tweaked some of the parameters.

Although this tool gives a OC that passes all the benchmarks I thew at it ...

It does not pass Prime95
( failed in less than 10 minutes - with a hard reset )

Did you happen to try any games with those settings?

yes and no ....
3Dmark ( pro ) passed with flying colors.
( 300 point gain from "Boost score" due to higher CPU score )
Final Fantasy score dropped.
CB20 = 600 more points ( 7600 I think )

The games I play would not justify as a good benchmark, since they are " old school ".

I still wish this would idle cooler ....

As far as the tool goes ... it's good for minimal OC at minimal voltage.

I tried it at 1.33 volts ( default )
it gave me the screenshots below ....
( not P95 stable )

Hmm, not sure if I will try a Beta bios again. Might wait till the release version, but getting my better dram overclocks back would be nice.

MSI released mine as beta last night.
Say's release date 9/29 --- but on the website {edit} 7 days later

Did you try it yet? I know it's early, but that's 7 days.

Just checked mine and the MSI ComboAm4v2PI 1.1.0.0 beta is available now.

I'll probably flash it today and see how it goes. I can always USB flashback if needed.

Uh, I’m not so fond of changing bioses because I need to input all my settings again. One day there will be a bios that saves all my changes to a file so I can print it out and get everything right in one go.

Going to flash now.
BTW... I personally have seen a BIOS version NOT allow a flashback on this MB
( can't remember the version number )

I have the MSI X570 Gaming plus and haven't encountered any version that wouldn't let me flash back yet. Haven't tried flashing back from ComboAm4v2PI 1.0.8.1 as the only thing it won't do is 3800MHz 1:1 memory overclock for some reason. Last version that would was the 7C37vA6 version for my motherboard. All other versions had no issues flashing back to it. No big deal really as I just run it at 3600 CL14 with tightened timings anyways. They must have changed some default settings somewhere that destabilized the higher IF speeds?

I'm going to flash mine later today and play around with it. As long as 3600CL14 is stable I don't really care too much about going higher for now anyways....If I upgrade to Zen 3 then I'll worry about it.

I'm seeing some real nice thermals using P95.

Tried IF 1900 again = 3Dmark failed - AIDA passed

So I dropped to 1866 ( current )
All on AUTO except for voltages - CPU 1.34 - DDR 1.45 - SOC 1.2 - LLC Mode3
Attached some results ...

If this passes 10 hrs .. then this BIOS gave me a step-up on the IF ( was 1833 )
( P95 hovering around 4100 Mhtz on ALL cores )
Dont let the nanos annoy you ... I have not applied Dram Calc numbers yet

Nice. I haven't gotten around to flashing yet. Decided to do Windows update and drivers before I flash mine to the new uEFI version.

Try to top this for latency! Totally not stable and must have brain farted....One could only wish!

Anyone try the Team Group 'Zeus' DDR4 memory with Ryzen yet? It's 3200 speed, at 1.20V. (CAS20).

Thought maybe it's "real" JEDEC-spec 3200 RAM. Could be interesting to OC.

P95 passed
10 hrs @ IF1833 with 1.34v = 66.1 avg temp and 4100 avg MHz on AIR

SMU : Max 142w Min 24.5

Yea... still idles warm.
But, cooler under load.

I set CPU v back to Auto and let it sit idle 10 minutes.

SMU min now 17.8 --- avg temp 41c
( 2nd attachment )

I'm going to stop complaining about the idle temp.
I believe it's just the chip itself.

I got my flathead screwdriver out, preparing for a BIOS reset.
And, dropped to Cas16 17 16 16 32.
This chip refused to post at these settings beforehand.

I attached 10hrs of P95 results in HWINFO.
CPU v still on Auto - overvolted.

Good results for me with this Beta.

{ EDIT }

12hrs P95 with Cas15 15 15 32 T2
... static voltage 1.328v

{ EDIT } wow ...

Cas14 14 14 38 38 2T
P95 11 hours

Copy numbers nipping at 62k

deleted the old Cas14 attachments for the final ( for now )

German PC Retailer Mindfactory, Ryzen 5 3600 over 100 000 sold CPU-s.

If someone ask, Mindfactory best seling Intel CPU is i7 6700K.There is no other Intel CPU closer to 50 000 sold.

a better comparison would be from release dates of each chip?
Just one week of sales ?

A side note :
I noticed that the last nVidia driver release works better with my x570.

Anyone else ?

New AIDA64 version ..... HUGE result differences ...

AIDA64 Forum topic - with explanation

So ,,, yea .... my latency numbers are still the same as the old version.
We can toss out ALL our " OLD " results.

And, this version will obviously negate any results from previous versions.

I may have been mistaken with my latency results.
I'm not sure if the new version of AIDA , Or the new w10 version 2004, has influenced my numbers.
