am I the only one that hasn't read a single Harry Potter book?

I've seen the movies...although the first had been out 2 years before I saw it.

Haven't read the books, although I may eventually. There are too many other books I have to read though. Books that are much more adult oriented.

I read and enjoyed all the books. The movies I've seen weren't as good, but still ok.

Lots of stubborn bastards in here. It's entertaining, dont be emo. Try not to judge stuff if you have'n even seen or experienced it. Thats like bitching about the prez when you didnt even vote. Its douchebaggery 101.

Why would anyone but kids enjoy the potter movies? I saw some on TV and it was littered with bad acting and horrible CGI.

Some of us just don't like the subject material. I got tired of all of the unlikely kid-hero stuff when I was a kid.

A day is just not complete without being able to yell to at least one kid to get off your lawn.

Have only seen the movies. The one coming to theaters next week looks to be the best one.

I've read all the books and own all the movies.

Both are stand outs within their genre.

The books are our generations equivalent of Narnia and will be read for generations. The movies series is probably one of the greatest accomplishments in movie history. A series of 8 movies staring the same cast, filmed over a 9 year period and telling one complete story. There is nothing else like it in movie history.

Great books, and the movies have gotten better with time. The first movie wasn't cast with actors, just normal kids who grew into the roles. I haven't enjoyed reading as much as I did when I read the HP series and waited impatiently for each one.
I'm 34.

Saw the first couple of movies, then read the books(as they came out) and saw the other movies(as they came out) and sorely miss chris columbus and richard harris, as without them the other movies are not as good.
