I've owned rifles, shotguns and handguns for 42 years - since I was 14 years old. I'm not afraid of them, I'm a longtime NRA member, hunter, target shooter and I believe we have the right to bear arms but if I see some guy I don't know walking down my street with an AR15 strapped to his chest then I'm going to call the police and I expect them check it out.
It's stunts like this that contribute to people wanting to ban guns.
Exactly. You would think that a sensible gun owner would understand with all the shootings, he is inciting public fear by carrying a weapon out like that.
Just do what you are told, then take it up with the judge later.
Does this type of image seriously frighten any of you?

If I were in some fast food joint and some idiot showed up with a rifle slung on his back I would definitely be alarmed. Only a fool wouldn't be, as it is not normal behavior.
Really? Are you afraid he is going to turn and shoot you with it? If so, where does that fear come from? What has that person done that makes you think they are going to shoot you?
If that isn't what you are afraid of then what?

And how about if the guy is wearing a government costume that says "police" on it?
Not sure the framers had this in mind...
I think a holocaust denial seminar needs you somewhere. You are a cartoon.
Fear of an inanimate object is pretty silly. Do you walk into the kitchen and run from the knife drawer too?
He isn't inciting anything. Do you run from the cops too? Bad idea.
This is the equivalent of running into a crowded movie theater and screaming fire.
Really? Because cops carry guns around all the time. Are you saying that every time a cop carries a gun around with him, he is effectively running into a crowded movie theater screaming fire?
That's interesting logic.
To compare an off duty police officer to this kind of nutt is a joke.
Why, what's the difference? Why do you worship cops who carry guns around in public, but whine like an infant when private citizens do the same?
Disregard that the master sergeant has been called unstable by some; he's an off duty soldier, an armed profession much like that of a police officer. Why is that so alarming? You trust soldiers in uniform, but not in civilian attire? To compare an off duty police officer to this kind of nutt

This is the equivalent of running into a crowded movie theater and screaming fire. By doing this he is not expressing a second amendment right. He is instead abusing it to incite fear. He is an idiot and a poor fvcking excuse for a father.
You are so stupid. We have had several mass shootings. No one knows who this guy is walking around with a rifle like that. Then this idiot of a father drags his son along. Anybody could have gotten spooked and pulled a gun on him thinking he was a threat. And there he is with his son in tow. His wife should stick her foot in his ass.
That person has a vastly greater potential to harm me than any other person in that restaurant and he can do so with almost no warning. Furthermore, his behavior is highly unusual, meaning I can be less confident in what his other actions might be. I can think of no rational reason that an average patron of that restaurant would believe that the ability to kill would be necessary for that transaction either.
I'm not afraid of him, but I'm definitely paying very close attention to such an individual.
Agreed.
But I also immediately leave any establishment that a gun-wielding police officer is also present in.
This happens at restaurants often, so I've learned to avoid restaurants that cops usually frequent, if it does still happen, I just put cash on the table and leave, I don't wait for the check. I also make sure that none of my banks have armed security or police officers as well as any places that I shop.
Guns make me uncomfortable and I don't trust the government enough to license anybody fit to have a firearm. So I just avoid all contact.
