Pressure to engage in sexual activity from women is extremely common in the experience of a great number of men, myself included.

Men don't tend to perceive this as anything other than a natural part of being in a relationship (both peoples' level of interest is not always going to be identical) but according to modern liberal standards as applied to the same situation when the genders are reversed, it is rape.

are you trying to define "pressure to engage" as rape?

That's odd; earlier you were accusing evil libruls of being rather loose with the definition of rape.

go on....

Well put, maybe we should look at the real villains here. The liberal rape apologists in California that gave these boys such a lenient sentence

Do you happen to know anything about Saratoga, CA except that it's in California?

You're blaming those boys for a situation that she, acting alone, put herself in. Nobody made her drink the gatorade, or made her unconscious to the degree that she could not have woken up to stop them from assaulting her. She did it herself.

You're trying to blame the young lads, boys really, for all her mistakes? Get real her buddy.

this is sarcasm...right?

That's actually a semi-fair point. Hormones are strong in boys that age, if she had any doubt as to the contents of her drink, she really should have known this was a possibility all along.

Punishing a male simply because they possess properly functioning hormones is cruel.

Well, hormones are certainly strong in both genders at that age, and some people aren't as able to control themselves as others... but ultimately we as a society have to act as if everyone IS equally able to control their impulses, because the law has to deal in fairly clear standards and consequences.

But anyone who cares about their children will raise them to act as if nobody can control themselves if you get in their car while they're drunk or pass out around them while you are.

Did you even read what you quoted?

I bolded the relevant portion to help you out

And no one made the boys abuse her and then "slut shame" her. Just because you see a drunk girl doesn't mean she's fair game.

Fuck off.

So then it would seem you agree that the article using the term sexual assault does not mean a rape occurred. Thanks for agreeing with me:cool:

Awwww. You're so cute. You think that you actually 'won' some interweb points. That's so sweet. And the little sun glasses are cute too.

So you decided to skip over the demographics?

Also from wiki:
In 2011 Bloomberg Businessweek reported that the average household income was $237,804 with an average household net worth of $1,516,018.
In 2008 CNN/Money ranked Saratoga number 4 in its listing of top-earning towns.
In 2010 Bloomberg Businessweek named Saratoga the most expensive suburb in California.
Bloomberg Businessweek also named Saratoga's zip code 95070 the 18th richest zip code in America in 2011.

I'm working within a framework I don't actually agree with so as to make a point. Fairly standard stuff.

And who was pointing a gun at these three little creeps and forcing them to assault her?

I thought Republicans were a bunch of poor welfare leaches? At least that is what people here keep telling me :p

And I don't see how the demographics in anyway detract from my point. They may be richer than average, but apparently they still vote Democrat.

Case in point from this very thread:

Its obvious to anyone that can think that if a 15 year old boy claimed he was raped because some of his female classmates touched his junk while he was drunk that he would be ridiculed. Perhaps some insults involving him being "queer" would be thrown around

Meh, personal opinion based on experience.

I've dealt closely with both women and men who have been abused and It seems to me (anecdotally) that the effects are often worse on women than men.

As for your second paragraph, I already asked if you would still think it was just a prank if you woke up and this lady was all on your junk:

You so far have declined to answer.

I am pretty sure that woman got on my junk I wouldn't be waking up

And they vote Republican in Steubenville, what's your point?

I don't know about the letter of the law, or VG's opinion, but i feel that any time there's penetration without consent, it's rape.

I know I'd feel raped if someone stuck a dildo in my ass while I was sleeping.

(that's probably the face I'd be making after it happened)

.

Bravo.

Whatever time these young lands have to serve. The parents of the "victim" should have to serve 16 times the amount.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, and because of their failings as parents, these boys are now suffering.

480 days in jail for the parents of the victim, it is hereby ordered!!!

I believe they gave the rapists a tougher sentence in Steubenville. Seems like you are backing up my point.

Democrats are a bunch of rape apologists :colbert:

Also from the Wikipedia article on Saratoga, CA:
" Saratoga has the lowest percentage of Democrats of any city in heavily Democratic Santa Clara County. According to the California Secretary of State, as of October 22, 2012, Saratoga has 19,990 registered voters. Of those, 6,827 (34.2%) are registered Democrats, 6,363 (31.8%) are registered Republicans, and 6,316 (31.6%) have declined to state a political party."

What if the boy had a small penis?

Care to think of any insults that could possibly come his way, and his response to them?

How long shall the parents of the rapists serve for their poor parenting?

I'm going to quote Arkaign here, probably the only conservative here on ATPN who has any semblance of self awareness about his movement:

Also, notice my sig? If the mods let me, my sig would be 100 pages long with quotes from shithead conservatives here on ATPN, and it wouldn't be from just a handful. The conservative movement is full of subhuman filth right now, stop pretending there's something to be salvaged. I liken self professed 'conservatives' who call out me and others who paint you with a broad brush the same as a cop who looks the other way when his fellow cops abuse their power; you implicitly support sociopaths even if you don't actively do the same things they do.

Also, lets stop the 'both sides are equally bad' nonsense, this is the stupidest form of false equivalency that only a sucker would fall for.

I have sigs turned off, because d-bags like you abuse their purpose and function. Again, why use a tragedy like this girl experienced to try and further your (unrelated) political agenda? Because in your own twisted mind you believe there's equivalency, which is why you're a partisan hack and an asshole.

The victim killed herself too, do you think her parents should serve some more time for that?

Using this tragedy to push a political agenda is typical of him and his ilk. The guy is a complete moron who is a rabid partisan.
