Sometimes you really miss the point.

Back at you. The point is the citizenship question is a valid legitimate question. The protest is from the areas that want to be sanctuary cities and states. They have attracted huge numbers of illegals. Maybe if they would conform to the laws it would not be an issue.

It isn't hard. It is already a garbage count with respect to Illegal Aliens. This is just a ploy for the Democrats to bump up the numbers. Their time would be better spent beating the streets and getting the illegals to truthfully participate in the census.

Again, the previous admins of the census, who worked under both Republican and Democrat presidents all agree that it's a bad idea. This is not a partisan issue.

You do you, waterboy.

Explain why it is legit. I'm not accepting your premise.

You aren’t even making logical sense anymore. Counting all the people we can is the POINT OF THE CENSUS, not some ‘ploy’.

You’re basically saying because the count is already bad we should just go ahead and make it worse. This is irrational. You’re letting your tribalism get in the way of coherent thinking.

Are you doing bath salts with brandonbull? Because you're making even less sense than usual.

What attracts workers, legal & otherwise, is jobs. And in the Conservative way of thinking then the job creators decide where that is. It can be no other way. And if illegals find employment then it's the job creators paying them, obviously, not your nebulous libruhl boogeyman.

I love your "if they would conform to the law" routine, too. Who is they? American citizens who live in those places where intentional under counting deprives them of an honest share of federal funding & representation?

Yeh, that's some MAGA, for sure- fucking over the most populous places so that... what, exactly? So that the job creators get big fat tax cuts with money borrowed from them? Or is it just for the delicious libruhl tears?

You give pcgeek11 way to much credit for having actual reasons beyond feels and being a petulant man child trapped in an old man's body.

American citizens who live in those areas will receive federal representation and funding proportional to the number of American citizens that live in those areas. No American citizen will lose proportional representation due to a question on the census asking them to identify themselves as such.

If those areas then choose to declare themselves as sanctuaries for people who are not American citizens, they are welcome to bear the cost of that decision.

Incorrect. Representation has always been based on population, not citizenship. It's a Constitutional requirement & it's been that way since the first census in 1790.

You're not supposed to admit that current GOP efforts are designed to under count people in urban areas but you did, anyway, so thanks for at least that smidgen of honesty.

This aggression of counting things accurately will not stand!

This “controversy” only exposes the real motivation behind sanctuary policies, so glad to see the hypocrisy exposed for what it is. I think the Democrats should make the census question a banner issue for the midterms.

You are aware that non-citizens live and work in this country legally, paying taxes, while also being provided government services.

Right?

Come on, spell it out. What is this "real" motivation?

You go on as if sanctuary cities happened before the Feds let in all the illegals. That's how they became 10% of the population of greater LA, isn't it? Sure enough. And, you know, until the Trump Admin actually deports them (fat chance) their distrust of local LEO is a local enforcement nightmare. So they distanced themselves from ICE in what they see as the interests of the community they serve. Saying it's wrong of them to do that is bullshit.

Why should my local law enforcement be forced into enforcing Federal immigration laws? They have better things to be doing, like enforcing the local laws.

Right?
Yes, if only there was a way to differentiate those with legal and non-legal status

And then what- deport them all?

That's apparently the delusion of every right wing immigration retard in America.

They're here & 2/3 have been for over 10 years. They're not going away, either, & trying to deprive the communities where they settled of fair representation & a fair share of the federal pie is simply wrong. Those communities can't keep them from living there even if they wanted.

It's what I've come to expect from the GOP, however- fucking over their fellow Americans every chance they get.

Please, spare me the pearl clutching. We’ve been kicking this can down the road for over a decade, and the only reason we’ve not come to a solution is because its a politically and financially exploitable situation. Why solve it when you can leverage it. We are the only western democracy that entertains this insanity, and now you are upset because of a question on a census? You want a “fair share” of the federal pie to perpetuate the insanity? Try crossing the border into Canada or Mexico as a refugee or migrant worker and see how long you last.

It's simply delusional to think that we will deport 11M people, ~10% of them living in greater LA.

The only reason we haven't reached the only possible solution, broad amnesty, is because the GOP sells that delusion to folks like you. Over and over again. It's all hat & no cattle regardless of how badly you want to believe to the contrary.

Meanwhile, you'll screw affected communities any way you can for the spite & the good old libruhl tears.
