So is the $19.95/mo 40meg storage 200meg transfer before or after the 2 for 1 deal? I signed up for that plan but I'm not sure if that means I'll get 80/400 or 40/200 or even if I need to do anything other than simply sign up in order to get the 2 for 1, anyone know?

The quota allotments listed for each plan on their site is before the "2 for 1" deal. When you sign up for the hosting plan and specify only one domain, they will assume you wish to double the quota allotments for the plan you purchased. Otherwise, if you specify a second domain, you will receive a free second plan similar to the first plan, both having the normal quota allotments.

BTW, I can't seem to locate a $19.95/mo plan with 40MB of storage space and 200MB transfer. Am I missing something here?

The $19.95 deal is originally 40MB storage and 1500MB transfer but after the 2 for 1 it is 80 and 3000, respectively.

just signed up for the $20 a year plan for a small site I have.. I figure $20 a year for 80mb and 3gb traffic is sufficient.. maybe Gary would come up with ZAP20X one day.. and that'll be the day I'd ask for a refund :p

I can't comment on or excuse why your emails haven't been replied to. What i can do is suggest is you try using their irc channel at:

irc.dixiesys.com - port 6667 - Channel: #help

or

If you are a new customer, submit a support ticket at Dixiehelp.com/helpdesk

or

Post a message on the forum boards - the moderators are there all the time, and they can all help with your account or questions, usually within a couple of hours.

Can we change the domain names that are hosted through dixiesys.com, at a later date?

Well, I'm starting to get a bit miffed. I've been a Dixiesys customer for almost a year now and have generally had no complaints about the service. But I just signed up for the 2-for-1 and upgraded to a reseller account. I know this requires me to move to a different server, however, I signed up on Tuesday and have not received any information yet. The forums say we should have seen our welcome email in 24 hours max. I submitted a help ticket yesterday morning which Gary replied to in the afternoon saying he just finished adding two more servers at the datacenter and that everyone should have their account details in an hour. That was 17 hours ago and still no e-mail or further communication on my help ticket (which is still open).

FYI, they are very overwhelmed at the moment with the response from this offer. I will give them some leeway in their response times to tickets and issues because of this, but I had set aside time this weekend to move all my sites. If they can't open my new account in 4 days (Tuesday-Friday), Gary is gonna get a nasty-gram and probably my cancellation. :disgust:

I totally understand that and am giving them the benefit of the doubt. It's not cool though that Gary responded to my help ticket yesterday saying I should be all set in an hour when that is clearly not the case.

I'm sorta in the same boat. I'm being moved from the old, dying RaQs and haven't received a "welcome" email since the weekend. tick tock tick tock... ;)

I'd like to help but I only know how to do this using an HTML editor and FTP client. I don't usually use the control panel for such tasks. Good luck to you though. :)

I signed up for a resellers account a 10/15 at 5:40 am EST. I got a confirmation that my credit card was succesfully charged but I never received a welcome email with the DNS info. I sent Dixie sys. an email earlier today telling them this and Gary replyed to my email with this response:
Hmm pretty sure you're setup let me dig through the mountain of welcome
messages and send you a copy of yours ;)

The welcome email followed right after :) So if you have not heard from them yet, my guess is that they are overwhelmed and are having a hard time with their organization and handling the huge response from this offer.

Send them an email. They will fix it.

I have a question. I have been signed up for a monthly small site hosting for $3.95 per month. If I wanted to upgrade this, ie double my space, would I just repurchase a monthly small site hosting then submit a ticket telling them to upgrade my domain? By upgrade, do they mean that I must move up plans? Or upgrading the same plan. Thanks!

if you already have an account with them for domain xxx.com... you can't get the special unless you move to the next plan up for domain xxx.com... even if you cancel and get a new account... that's against the 'spirit' :D

however, say if you want to get an account for xyz.com... then you just need signup and xyz.com would have double everything...

hope that explains it a little bit
