I remember when I used to have to wait for my son. Now, he can hold pace just fine, and beat me by 20 seconds or so in our last 5K. Judging by the 5:14 PR @1600m he just ran in his first track meet this spring, I need to get used to being beaten, at least in the short stuff. I've still got him in the longer runs, but that'll surely change soon enough.
