We're approaching a metric milestone here...

5991 miles = 9 641.5799 kilometers

10 000 kilometers = 6 213.71192 miles

So when we get to 6214 we'll have gone 10000 km :)

 Awesome!

I love that I log all my training in metric, then I have to convert to US Imperial to post here...and that I have to convert the Imperial distances in my marathon training program to metric so they make sense :p.

To all my fellow 'nuck runners and walkers, we'll break out the Unibroue and Timbits when we hit 10,000 km! :D

Its been raining like a mofo the past few days, especially today, so I did what any sane runner would do: I strapped on my trail shoes and drove to Mendon Ponds for a wonderfully wet, muddy, sloppy mess of a run. Got very very muddy but had a lot of fun. Saw two other runners out there too. Ended up doing 10 miles, which gives me 82.3 for the week and us 6001!

2 miles yesterday, 6 today.

Edit: This heat is awful. It had to be close to 100 degrees when I was running today. Hardest 6 miles so far.

Reminds me of the old cross country days, sloshing through the slop . Usually occurs in October/November though...

This rain seems to be here late this year. Normally spring time is rainy but it was relatively dry this year.

OK, I got my 12 miler in as planned, and I managed to do it before the rain set in today. And the deer flies were not thick as thieves either... I guess that was my Father's Day present from mother earth eh?

I had 22 planned but only dis 20. It was cool and cloudy all freaking day until the minute my friend got to my apartment and then the sun came out and it was hot and muggy as hell. We ran to Mendon Ponds, met up with another friend of our's and did a few miles with them. Then my friends drove back and I ran back on my own. I was 138.8 lbs when I started and 131.2 when I finished. Kind of thirsty now. 6066

12 miles this morning.

I didn't realize there was a Father's Day "Do it for Dad" race going on as I wound around the lake. I got a few impromptu cheers from the race marshals. I told them I appreciated the support, but I was just on a training run. If only all my Sunday runs could have a cheering section LOL!

Last weekend my son and I were out running and we noticed that there were tons of bicyclists out on "our" trails. Turns out there was an organized century ride going on and we were right in the middle of it without knowing it. Some girls told us we needed to get some wheels and join them, kinda awkward with my son being there and all.

Annoying eh? I wish these races would post signs at least a week in advance so I would know they're going on. Then I would just use another route.

Between the rain and the feeling of being burned out, I haven't been able to get myself running the last few days. I have been lifting though.

 RagingBITCH would be proud!

11.5 miles today.

Checked the results for my trail race yesterday and they made an error - I was actually 5th, not 6th! I'll take it heh.

Hey now, wtf is that supposed to mean? :p :)
