5 quick miles on a new pair of New Balance 890 v2's. They feel awesome. Gonna wear them Saturday for a 10-mile race--hoping to go under 1:12:30.

Found out I was 18th in the 15K on Saturday. If i wasn't sick I know I could have been top 5. Damn it.

10 miler this morning. Luckily the rain stayed away. 1:12:10 for a PR!

Looking back, my time for the same race in 2010 was 1:18:55, and for last year, 1:14:46. What are the chances of going under 1:10 next year?

6 miles this morning before work. First time I've seen temps less than 65F here in FL, it was 57F. Felt so good.

+25 including 3x (2 miles @ 5:40, 1 mile @ 5:30, 800m @ 5:20) yesterday. Killer workout that nearly destroyed me but I hit my times!

Scorch, I got down to 7:10 pace recently and that seems fast to me. I don't have any concept of what it must feel like to run at 5:20. Way to go, you are TMFM.

Been super busy and haven't posted in a while! I think my last post was on 13/08/2012, and according to my running log I've run 692 miles since then. Hopefully I'll be less busy soon and can run more.

I saw that you ran that pretty quick! Was that a tempo run or just feeling good? As for how it feels to run 5:20 pace, it freaking hurts. I wouldn't recommend it. Crazy to think that in April or May that was probably around my 10K pace, and I would be very hard pressed to run a 5K at that pace now. But I can run for (hopefully) 26 miles at 6:05 pace now, which there wasn't a snowball's chance in hell of me doing back in the spring.

It was both a tempo run and me feeling good. I knew I was going to push my pace, I just didn't expect to push it that hard.

Which marathon are you prepping for?

Last two runs keeping it at the 7:30 pace. Not bad for a 41 year old.

So wisdom doesn't come with age anymore? Let me add that for you. ;)

+6 from me (I honestly have quite a few more, but I don't feel like remembering updating and looking at my logs, etc.) I just got some toe sucks for my stanky Vibrams and they are nice!
