A lot of comments in this thread are suggesting you downgrade components which makes sense for a lot of people on this forum because they upgrade constantly. If you plan on upgrading this rig over the years then all of these suggestions make sense. You can use the money you save to upgrade. If...
Get the 5850 it's the better board. The 460 is a good value especially in SLI but if you have to have one board it should be the 5850. Plus at 1900x1200 I feel like the 5850 will start to widen the performance gap between the two. I've got a 5850 with Scythe Musashi on it. Not only does it...
Truth. They broke the drivers after 10.5 now they've fixed them and are claiming massive increases in performance. AMDs drivers have always been worse than nVidia's but the current situation is just laughable. I had purchased a second 5850 and power supply for going Crossfire this past weekend...
Buy.com sells these monitors on ebay. You can use BCB to get the price down to $370ish and it also has free shipping.
This monitor seems like the 24" to have. IMO it seems like it's a better buy than the U2410. It's cheaper, has factory calibration, better uniformity, and sRGB color.
Also the...
Good price I paid full price a day after it came out and it was totally worth it. The graphics are awesome, the singleplayer was arguably better than MW2, and the multiplayer is definitely refreshing.
My guess is that they will take care of it. I bought something from TD before I even made a Bing CB account. I emailed them later after I signed up and asked if I could get CB for it. It took at least a week but sure enough they put it through. Give it time if you made a valid purchase they'll...
LOL I was just coming here to post this because I posted it over at [H]. Just picked one up and it seems to be the best price for an X25 G2 at the moment.
Ordered one of the Sapphires this morning from TD and looks like it just shipped. Definitely overpriced considering MSRP was supposed to be $260 but it doesn't seem like prices will be coming down until early next year so I'm happy :) Thanks again OP!
Original MSRP was $259. Once ATI realized there was going to be a shortage they increased prices by something like $20. Then the e-tailers did the same so the going price for a 5850 is $300-$315. $309.99 is pretty much standard for a 5850 and likely will remain that way until after Xmas.
I bought a 640 for $79.99 a few days ago at MC...this is a great price. There is tax and gas but your new drive is also not being shipped and tossed around. If it does turn out to be a dud just drive back to the store and problem solved. For something as sensitive as a hard drive I think I'd...
