Just got back from the Tysons Corner store. Arrived 9:50AM to find 30 people already outside. When the doors opened, I was confused because there was a mad dash over to the counter where you buy hard drives and memory, while I was hoofing it to the middle of the store where the CD-RW drives are. YOINK, got 2 of them. Lucky for me, too... Once the herd realized they were in the wrong place for the CD-RW deal they rushed the middle of the store while I ducked clear with my loot. Off to the checkout, where I got hassled by a clerk at another register who said specials are 1 per customer. I said "It doesn't say that in the flyer", honestly thinking that it didn't. That cast enough doubt that the manager sent a stockboy off to get a flyer and double-check. Meanwhile, my clerk sees his line growing and growing and goes ahead and just checks me out with two. As I hit the exit the manager hands me the flyer and points to the asterisk next to the price, then I follow her finger down to the fine print where it indeed says something about 1 per customer, although I had already paid so see ya.
Anyway, all gut-wrenching action and drama aside, the moral of the story is this: some of the folks who bought multiple drives Fri. and Sat. hoping to come back and get them all pricematched may not have much luck unless you went to the trouble of getting each one on a separate receipt.
Folks, I know that the 1-per-customer thing has been debated here already, I'm just telling you what my personal experience was with the manager of the Tysons Corner VA store. Your mileage may certainly vary, so just like grandma used to say, "Don't count your multiple $99 CompUSA ZipCDs before you actually walk out the door with them today, or go back and successfully get your pricematch for ones you bought ahead of time" or something like that...
