Looking at the funky dates, this may be one of those "10 per store deals." Still FLAMING hot either way. GL to all who go for it, but I recently bit on the Velo CD for 180.

Well, if this is true, this is not just hot.
Not just steaming...
Not just scorching...
Not just white hot...
But eternal damnation dungeons of hell oh father bless me for I
have sinned nope not a chance unbearably excruciatingly achingly
blazingly hot.

And if it is not true, then, well, never mind.

I just wish Iomega would make even a attempt to support their rebadged plextors

Everything will be great if they release the firmware flasher that picks up the Iomega drive ID tag

Upcoming newspaper? I thought the 'Early Edition' was just a TV show. Can you get me the lottery numbers? :)

Do sanyos have TLA#'s, look just like Plextor bezels, and have firmware revisions that match the plex (1.04)?

Do you mail in the rebate to Compusa or is it generic = can I pricematch somewhere else adn also get the rebate?

EDIT: I found the Iomega $30 rebate (expires 12/31). Is this one a Compusa rebate where we might be able to stack for $60?? Or is it the same $30 rebate that has to be mailed to Young AMerica MN?

is this something we can buy first and then price adjust later?

when i was at a local compusa last week, i saw them for $279. I'm guessing it's 279- 150 IR- 30 MIR = $99, then.

Hey SuperKeith and everyone else ... I think COMPUSA will allow price adjustment if you buy it now and bring the receipt in later. I did that with the imation 8x SCSI back sometime this year. So instead of camping out ... Just buy it now and bring the reciept back later.

Anyone know if these a CloneCD compatible? I already have a good Yamaha SCSI recorder/rewriter, but it doesn't do cloneCD. For this price, I'd get a second burner if it does CloneCD.

I have the 12x4x32 version of this thing, and yes it does CloneCD, so I would assume that this does too.
