If you think Africa is better off now then how it was before, you're a dumbass.
What do they consider them as then? Do not confuse Europeans, Asians with White, Colored or African (black). They do not consider you to be African. If you ask why they will tell you BECAUSE YOU ARE WHITE. Simple.
On the 'flip side' - Zimbabwe - was handed one of the wealthiest countries in the WORLD (eg a currency that was worth more than the USA Dollar, etc) - what is it today..? Competing with Ethiopia to be the most desolate hell-hole on the planet..? Please explain..
As for "can't say they don't deserve it" Who put those leaders in power?
Well said.Actually the problem WAS that the gov't took farms away from whites. Even if the land hadn't been give to Mugabe's goons you'd be giving it to people who have no capital, no experience at large scale commercial farming and no equipment. Congratulations, you just turned a big agricultural producer into a subsistence farm.
The land was not farmed (in modern, high intensity methods) before the whites took it over; they brought in farming and irrigation expertise and made the land produce. Farming commercially (especially in a near-desert region) is not a technically trivial activity, and having the approved skin color does not change that. There simply is no way to take wealth-producing enterprises from those who know how to operate them and giving them to people you better like without suffering from the loss of much of that produced wealth.Of course you can. They do it all day every day in China and Russia.
No it is not. New government, new rules. Obviously, the black government did not feel that they deserved it (and they didn't). Those lands were taken from blacks when the British colonized the area and legitimized their theft with laws. The new black government did the exact same thing.
LOLThat's enough for a lifetime supply of Ramen noodles. What the problem?
That is africa and that why a country like Botswana invited white farmers to farm in their country and protect them like gold.
Botswana's actually led by people who have a clue. After independence they actually had enough sense to not go on some revenge campaign. They stayed close to Britain and didn't push the whites out.
Zimbabwe is tropical
They aren't tropical. I think they're sub-tropical.
Parts of Africa are subtropical - Swaziland, Morocco and Tunisia at the least. I think all of Zimbabwe is tropical though.Africa not tropical?
Man your wierd.
Africa not tropical?
Man your wierd.
There's probably some parts of Zimbabwe that are leaning towards sub-tropical. They're not southern California sub-tropical but they aren't Congo tropical either.
Actually, while its on the southern edge of the tropics much of the country consists of a high plateau (Harare is at 4900 ft, Bulawayo 4500 ft) and the elevation keeps it in comfortable "spring-like" temperatures year round. Awesome piece of real estate before that senile old thug got hold of it.

Yes, Zimbabwe is in the tropics and has a tropical rainy season, but most of it is veld, dry grassland outside the rainy season. Rainfall during winter months is virtually nil, and Zimbabwe's agriculture is most severely affected by drought. Without irrigation, most winter crops are not viable. Ask a Zimbabwe farmer what is his most essential piece of equipment and it's likely to be his irrigation pump. But I do take your point; what I said was not really what I wished to convey.Zimbabwe is tropical
Thats what I ment. Here in hawaii our side nanakuli is more so known as the country side where its hot an dry, while... by waimanalo theres some thick jungles there, more so called rain forest now. But still Hawaii is refered to as tropical. It depends I guess if Zimbabwe is as the other guy said an all desert, than...I dont know.
That other guy was me; I said near-desert, referring to the high veld which outside the rainy season is very dry and requires irrigation for most crops. It's not near-desert in terms of total rainfall because of the monsoons.
