No I don't skip meals, as that's probably bad for you. It looks like I missed few logs. But I don't let myself get hungry though- always eating something small here and there.

I have no appetite in the morning, but I always end up eating 3 meals- brunch, early dinner, late dinner.

What times do you have the 2 dinners at? I'd avoid having the late dinner too close to bedtime.

And yes, skipping meals is bad for reasons outlined in the sub-forum sticky.

Skipping meals has no scientific basis in being bad for you. I typically skip dinner.

I typically skip breakfast and lunch. A large cup of black coffee in the morning and my appetite is suppressed until 1pm. I typically don't break the fast until 3-4pm.

Just make up the calories later in the day and the end result on body composition will be the same. I routinely eat my largest meal 1-2 hours before bed time.

Where does it say that? It doesn't mention meal frequency at all. There is absolutely no science backing up a specific number of meals a day, only an absolute number of calories for BMR.

Yep ... don't get wrapped up in how many times you eat. Just make sure you hit caloric and macronutrient goals. Don't forget your veggies.

Some guys do some extreme IF and consume 3500 calories in one sitting...my god that would be hard.

*throws up a little* 3.5K calories in one meal... assuming that's healthy clean food, no way can I fit that much in me.

You can't do 3.5k of *clean* food in a meal. It would be horrific.

My bro had 3.5k in a meal but it wasn't clean. It was at a pub eating challenge. Nothing too crazy but like 3x 6oz beef patties, fries, milkshake, onion rings, bacon, cheese, other stuff and 2 breaded chicken breasts. I think in the region of 300g of fat! Other people couldn't finish it but my bro finished it in 30minutes not rushing. I think on Monday I'm going to have the same meal as it would be just over 5 weeks of dieting.

I discovered the joy that is Coke Zero last night.

It satisfied my craving and I 'binged' in it by drinking 2 cans. Mwahhaha zero guilt.

Going to CVS while craving junkfood is a major torture. Holy crap. Peanut M&Ms...HUGE potato chips were on sale at $2/bag, Milano, Sausalito chocolate chip cookies....... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I don't know how I walked out just with Coke Zero. So god damn proud of myself.

This Keto is pretty crazy. I am 173 lbs this morning, lost 7 lbs in a week, and mere fourth day on Keto.

Day 21

Exercise: Pushups 15-15-15-12, Curls 20-20-20, Chin lifts 20-20-15

Breakfast: 1 boiled egg

Late Lunch: Chicken breast & cucumber

Dinner: Korean pork belly (basically uncured bacon) with fried kimchi.

The severe thirst I had seem to be better. I don't know how I'm losing weight with that super greasy fried pork belly. It's really throwing off my preconceived notion of fat being bad.

I wonder how good Kimchi is on Keto. Googling shows they're excellent (cabbage, pepper, and fermented flora is good for keto). But I have a feeling they're not that good for you because it tastes spicy and SWEET to me. Kimchi has no sugar added, but whenever something tastes remotely sweet, it actually has lots of sugar.

I wonder.

Zeze, my GF gets these noodles called Shiritaki noodles (these are the exact ones)...they have zero carbs and taste delicious. Warning: These noodles smell terrible "raw", like seafood. But after they are rinsed and cooked they are DELICIOUS. No carbs.

I know you have me on ignore, but you're not in keto, unless you're not logging everything you're eating. Sure, some fat is being broken down, but you're not eating enough fat, and so your body is also breaking down protein for amino acids. 60-70% of your calories should come from fat. I was eating 2100 calories per day, with ~150g of fat. That's six eggs with cheese and butter for breakfast. 100g of nuts throughout the day. ~1.5lbs of oily cold water fish (sardines, herring, mackeral, salmon), with mayo added, and various greens with tablespoons of olive oil.

It seems you've cut out your running down and realized how important eating fat is for losing it (two pieces of advice i gave you before you freaked out and put me on ignore); now start eating more.

Really should define what those exercises are. I get the push ups, but the curls are still way too vague and way too many reps. Also, what are chin lifts?

I'm too much of a work-out noob to know their proper names. Sorry.

Chin-ups: Two dumbells on each hand, palms facing rear, joined at center (crotch area). Then simply raise them up to my chin. This works out my shoulders.

Curls: Dumbells and just curl them alternately while standing up. Biceps.

Push ups: Chest.

So these give me a good coverage of my upper body for a casual workout.

This message is hidden because rga is on your ignore list.

lol, troll. 😀

YES thank you! I've read about these before and I've seen them in American groceries too. I'll check them out.

I'm not enough of an expert to really make a comment on shoulder raises (your chin lifts) vs military press, but you should most likely up the weight until you're doing 7-10 reps max.

pretty sure he's talking about upright rows.

Those noodles are kind of expensive. Read a good review on them a while back.

You are correct. I haven't done those in awhile since everything seems to be conflicted on whether or not they're good or damaging for you. Regardless, he should up the weight a lot.

Yeah it is pretty sick torture to go in to a store with so many treats to buy but you can't do it...just keep your eyes on the prize and that'll keep you focus.

It's one month later, and the wedding that you wanted to quickly lose weight for is one week past. How much weight have you post. Any more progress pictures?
