I already posted it in this thread previously:
Zen6 launching in 2027:

"AMD Olympic Ridge “Zen 6” Ryzen Desktop CPUs Reportedly Launching In 2027"

The question is if Zen6 DT now will be release in Q1 or Q2 2027.

Also, what happened to the dead certain trust me bro ~October 2026 predictions by some?

I suspect, even if this rumor is true, Zen 6 will still launch in 2026Q4. Simply not for mere AM5 peons.
And, as usual, they are extrapolating far too much (performance, availability, potential pricing) from the server parts (which AMD actually cares about).

They care about DIY very much; they own the place and will collect hearthy margins there.

I wouldn't be surprised if it launches then either. It's a rumor from one source at this point (benchlife). And AMD's official roadmap said Q4 for Zen 6. I'd still rate that higher than another "trust me, bro" bencher. But I would also not be surprised if AMD delays it. At the end of the day Venice riding the AI boom is a better opportunity than prioritizing a market that can't afford DRAM.

Where”s that and was it for DT?
The slide is in the article poke01 linked. AMD's pretty vague. Zen 6. 2026.
If that includes Olympic Ridge or not is a mystery. But I see no reason to take this rumor seriously except that I already believe AMD doesn't prioritize desktop/DIY.

I think the Benchlife trust me bro has been more reliable than the local one.

Also, like you said the roadmap does not say Zen6 DT in 2026, only Zen6 in general.

But we’ll see.

I don't see the difference between the rumor mongers.
Whereas AMD said Zen 6 - 2026.
And past performance (Zen 1-5) has all had a slight official launch lead for desktop.
But I can see AMD shipping almost none of them. Or even changing their normal behavior to make sure they don't miss the AI boom.

Based on what?
What do you mean? AMD said Zen 6 - 2026. That's basically it. Someone's rumor is inline with what AMD said and the other may also be in line with what AMD said BUT is in contradiction to AMD's past behavior since 2017.
So basically, if it is delayed it is unusual for AMD. But I wouldn't find it surprising due to these unusual times (AI boom).

I mean do you rate/trust all trust me bros equally, and if so based on what?

AMD said Zen6 in 2026, but not specifically Zen6 DT in 2026. Again, what about the AI/Datcenter prio craze?

I explained already. Past behavior. Every Zen 1-5 has officially launched on DT slightly before DC. Zen 6 would have to be the first to officially launch in DC before DT.
I find that totally believable but a more unusual rumor. The other is inline with AMD's statements and past behavior.

You did not comment on the trust me bro trustworthiness, and why you think all rate equal.

And past behavior was not 500% price increase for DDR5 in a few months either. So the past is not necessarily a good predictor of the future in these AI craze days. This includes Zen6 (release dates).

I explained exactly how I rate rumors.
One is in line with AMD's statement and past behavior. It therefore has a higher "rating" than the other, believable rumor in line with AMD's statement but not in line with past behavior. I cannot explain it any more simply. It is rated by AMD's statements and past behavior. If you must reply to me again asking how to rate rumors I have to question if you are reading my posts at all. Stop. There is not a single question remaining about how I look at rumors.

Except it's probably going to be slower than the 9800X3D in games and a questionable upgrade at best over the 7800X3D.

That's kind of the problem with bothering to release non-X3D parts to DIY.
That's another good reason to delay. Wait for X3D.

I wonder if AMD is going to run into supply issues in 2027 in regards to 2nm wafers. With apple getting most of the supply initially and with other manufacturers using it like Intel(for novalake), qualcomm, mediatek using it, I wonder if AMD has enough supply to launch instinct, data and client GPU and possibly client GPU. I think AMD is biting off more than can chew in 2027 when you add in possible console launch. 2026 seems barren and if instinct does deliver on time, we might see somewhat stagnant growth for AMD this year when you consider AMD lack of launches of 2026. AMD should have launched more 3nm products in 2026 which could be sold in 2027 and beyond. Being so reliant on 2nm I feel has a lot of risk when 3nm wafer supply is going to open up.

Pretty sure client GPU, mainstream laptop APU and console are on a different, cheaper process.
The only real risk to Zen 6 CCD supply is if MI455X/Helios is actually competitive and I'm sure you don't think it is.
