Arrow is just bad for gaming. It performs worse than even Raptor Lake, actually even application performance is not that good, at least we know why AMD didn't release more than 16 cores.

I won't be comparing to raptor because it's not direct competition. Even if the mitigations solved the problems, it's a cursed and dead end last generation platform. The correct comparison is the latest dead end Intel platform.

It’s already been addressed with X3D.

Not really the cache helps but redoing the IOD and getting a Memory controller that can do 1:1 higher than DDR5 6000 will be the perma fix.

Well, no, they just need a faster D2D interface and an additional 32B link to the IMC and there you go.

Why such high expectations? Especially for 9950X3D?
Strix Halo is more interesting, but It also has It's limitations at least for the price It will be sold, but It's a niche product.

Because there's a little birdie flying around saying that 9950X3D will have higher stock clocks than 9800X3D. And even the 9900X3D may beat the 9800X3D in games!

Being 35% faster in games than 285K is surely going to cause some heartache.

Sure but lets be honest here, the 285k at times is basically a 12700k, on par with 13-14th gen, rarely better than those. It was a forgone conclusion this chip was going to take the perf crown for games at least, just a question of how much over the 7800x3d.

I can't resist... in the sprit of Userbenchmark: this is because of AMD sponsoring this title! This is a clear favortism towards AMD by the game devs and is unfair to consumers!
