Your dreaming, a deal on this chip. Hell nah. It’s 2 generations ahead of Intel.

The 7800XD tho absolutely, but by then it should be mostly clearance deals for zen4x3d.
We'll see. I thought I was dreaming when I bought 4 7800X3D's under $250 (including one below $200) between last November and May of this year. A year from now odds are extremely good that there is a Micro Center discount on these that's well below MSRP. Its hard to say how much longer 7800x3D remains in stock. It seems unlikely they'll keep producing it and it will probably go back down in price (at least at Micro Center) very soon. There might not be many of them around by the end of next year.

Different sources. Y-cruncher speedup from 16% to 45% !!!

21% performance improvement in y-cruncher vs. 9700X.

Any way you look at it, bodes well for AVX-512 workloads on 9950X3D and Strix Halo!

By the way, if 14900K/KS and 285K were real humans, they would commit seppuku after getting so thoroughly humiliated :D

Since Computerbase made all their tests also with SMT disabled we can get a picture of the SMT gain, although the SMT less is surely working at a slightly higher frequency, wich skew the numbers but that s still indicative.

SMT gain is 31% in Affinity Photo, 35% in CB 2024, 41% in Handbrake 1.8.2, 44% in 7 Zip and 46% in Blender, to wich the SMT less higher frequency % should be added on top, so that s really impressive numbers, no wonder that AMD didnt need to increase the core count vs ARL.

True, and when they see it spelled wrong they just go with it not knowing any better.
English is my native language, though I live in a country where English is not the native language, not that what I am writing is an excuse.

Here is my explanation

When one pronounces the word "Loose" you put the "uuuu" into the pronounciation not "oooo"
When one pronouces the word "Lose" you put the "oooo" into the pronounciation not "uuuu"

Now flip that to when one wants to say "Loser", you dont say "LoOOOOser", you say LuUUUUuser.

O vs U

Is this satire ?
No. Why should It be? 7800X3D is more efficient than 9800X3D. 9800X3D manages higher clockspeed in comparison, but at the cost of power.
But of course It shouldn't really matter in dekstop, If you want to pair It with a 450W GPU, then extra 20-30W doesn't really matter.
