That's why I secretly hope for a violent civil war.

There is no compromise with this disgusting GOP filth. They think they're "Americans," but they're hardly human beings. They're space-trash alien-invader filth.

How could Trump POSSIBLY be a good role model for children?! All the names you could call him -- like "disgusting pig" or "traitorous sociopathic scum" fall short of adequate description.

LOL. You think that split across party lines democrats could win a civil war?

Wow, what a messed up thing to say. You do realize not all Republicans would pick up guns and kill democrats right? Only the sickest of them would. Factor that in to whatever it is you just said here.

Also, if it was a battle of wits, holy hell would the Republicans take a thrashing. You know that, right? Like, you know what kind of people voted for Trump right? THAT would be their intellectual army. If they couldn't bring their guns to the battle they'd likely wind up shooting each other's dicks off before even arriving.

That's the news-item of the day that riled me the most, and a motivation today to post. I know it's in another post or thread: How could ANYONE believe that Trump is a role model?

I want my kid to bully people.

I want my kid to scam people by setting up something like a phony university.

I want my kid to tell lie after lie, to make fantasy look like fact.

I want my kid to cheat his contractors.

I want my kid to get into some raunchy hobble-da-gee and gobble-da-goo, just about the time his latest wife gives birth to a child.

And -- I want my kid to perpetrate high treason against his country, by consorting with a global adversary who in turn is trying to outdo the CIA as it was before the Church Committee hearings.

I want my kid to think first and only about his image and himself.

I want my kid to unnecessarily risk serious disaster on others to pursue some end.

And I want my kid to think he's . . . . like God.

And . . . I want my kid to cheat on his taxes whenever he can.

[Surely, there are more items to be added here. But it all says the same thing: Trump will be a role model whether you like it or not, and Trump will reduce your child's bar of character achievement to lower than crocodile piss in a sink-hole.]

There certainly are parents that want their kids to be and do most of that (probably less so on the treason.)

And I'm sure they're excellent role models. Ya know, in the scummiest ways possible. Just like Trump with his corrupt, piece of shit, adult offspring.

Gentlemen my parents think they are hard line republicans who scoff at anyone who doesn't share their world views. This twisted mindset is what I had to tolerate as a child seeing that I was raised by them. I have always been the curious kind so I've had to research things for myself which is something they refuse to do unless directed to by Faux or some other hard line right wing source.

This group think is what propels the GOP and for many of them its an impenetrable barrier to learning as their confirmation bias is already cemented forever in their uneducated minds. When they uplift rotten humans such as Trump it should serve as a warning to others and the fact that religious organizations also support these behaviors irrespective of how abnormal they are just blows my mind. They will justify anything to keep the money flowing their way and the reins of power firmly in grasp. I'm almost ashamed to admit that I'm a Christian when I see all of this because of the damage they've done.

I was ashamed to be a Christian, which is why I stopped being one.

I was ashamed because it had become pretty obvious that reality doesn't jive with the concept of an all-powerful, loving God and the Bible is just obsolete superstition-based propaganda.

He did provide a convenient path of diversion & denial, I'll grant that. It's all our conservative posters have talked about.

So, what do you think? Is Trump a good role model for children? I figure you're enough of a decent human being to reject that notion. Anybody who doesn't is way, way down the rabbit hole & that's 72% of Republicans polled. I never dreamed that they didn't have their shit together better than that. No facepalm is big enough.

Off what cliff? The Dow is at an all time high and my stock portfolio has gained 40% on the year. If you didn't invest, not my problem. If this prosperous boom has to do with Russians then we should be inviting Putin here more often.

When I was a kid growing up in a conservative household, I never imagined republicans would get in bed with commies in my lifetime. I guess it never was about integrity or honor or anything a man could pride himself on, just money, now here you are admitting you're a whore.

Perhaps . . .

I told my dentist and techie-friend of 15 years to go f*** himself. My car mechanic may have heard the gossip about it, and I only suspected during my last visit that he's quaking in his boots. My rule of thumb: Just mention the Traitor and so-called President in a favorable light, and I'll burn ya down any way I can. They both know that I had access to their business computers and may very well have copied their customer database, but I didn't.

Even so, I can't be sure if I wouldn't use the information to coordinate a boycott and destroy their business and livelihood.

You could tell me "don't turn on the news; you'll feel better." I can't stand the thought of being ignorant of developing news. It isn't the "news" that has poisoned my mind against GOP Trumpies. If I examine multiple sources, it is they who have poisoned the well . . . .

The catch is that the Russians haven't been Communist for a very long while. It's actually worse. They're a corrupt kleptocracy, an oligarchy & crime syndicate all rolled into one.

I think the GOP is jealous.

Just to clarify on Skull's post . . .

The Russians have a long tradition of autocracy going back a thousand years. So, when George Kennan wrote his white-paper in 1946, I think he didn't quite get it right. The Truman Doctrine should have focused less on killing an idea, and more on a unified posture against totalitarianism of all types.

To see what's happened in the Russian Commonwealth since the old USSR days, I'd wager that one has to visit it. I know you can buy a Taco Bell classic taco somewhere in Russia, or perhaps KFC chicken, although I think Putin imposed some punitive measures on western business operating in Russia -- responding to sanctions.

I had better hopes for the Russians in the late 1990s. But one can see how the old USSR would be transformed into the criminal enterprise you describe. Can it be changed? I can't say.

As a teenager, I read Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky, Chekhov, Pasternak, Solzhenitsyn and others. At that time, Yevtushenko was a popular Soviet poet. So it is too easy to dismiss the Russians as some sort of real-world Klingon Empire. [Cyrillic is really derived from the Greek alphabet, even if it looks like "Klingon."]

Also, our historical pattern of posturing, rhetorical over-simplification needs more recognition that "democratic" processes were still followed in aspects of Soviet government or even that of today's Commonwealth, as a matter of practicality. That is, the various local interests and regions were represented in institutions with democratic process; they just never had opposition parties.

Could you own a gun in the old USSR? The Polish-American father of a schoolmate had insisted in those days that you couldn't. The truth of the matter: yes you could.

Hey, garbage in, garbage out.

He has one daughter that has little to do with him, so that’s something.

The disparity between what Trump and the Repubs in the Legislature have promised their working class constituents and what they've actually given these poor faithful schmucks is nothing but classic GOP doublespeak, three card Monty and a shell game all rolled into one. Well, along with a little trickle down trickery that eventually expires near on down the Yellow Brick Road.

This is the what's left of the present day GOP after it got hijacked by their own home brewed nutjob extremists. And what's worse than that is that their rank and file are blithely going along for the ride for no other reason that loyalty to a party that is screwing them over every time they write legislation favoring the kleptocrat aristocracy, which is all the time and every time they put pen to paper.
