So given the choice of two habitats, you would prefer to live in a dumpster fire rather than live in a dumpster with fellow dumpster divers.

I live in the real world. not a fantasy imagined by the socialist left.
Keep on imagining your own little world.

It brings a smile on my face every time I come into pretty much any thread and 5 or 6 pages in, you have no idea what the topic is...it just turns into trolling and name calling and personal insults lol

Anyway carry on!

Let me remind you then. 72% of Republicans think Trump is a good role model for children.

What in the fuck does this have to do with my comment? LOL

Ooops nvm. Trolling
The troll is thee, good sir.

Coming into a topic to only comment on the nature of the discourse and not the topic itself. So he brought up the topic. Quite a reasonable thing to do.

I took your statement "you have no idea what the topic is" as an opportunity to remind you, and everyone else, that 72% of Republicans said they think Trump is a good role model for children.

Mostly because I like reminding you, and everyone else, that 72% of Republicans said they think Trump is a good role model for children.

Ok I don't doubt it.

I'll answer with another poll, from CBS:

75% of Americans (all parties) polled who actually watched SOTU, approved

Lol I just skimmed the link and saw that half of the "independents" are Trump supporters. Just more evidence that most people who self identify as independent have no idea what they are talking about on several levels.

CNN who polled similar to CBS people before the speech and after found less flattering results where:

Trump gets least positive reaction in at least 20 years

https://www.cnn.com/2018/01/31/politics/state-of-the-union-reaction-poll/index.html

Almost half of Americans who watched President Donald Trump's first State of the Union address -- 48% -- say they had a "very positive" impression of the speech, down from 57% of speech-watchers after his first address to match Barack Obama's rating after his first State of the Union address, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS.

It's the lowest net positive rating for a State of the Union address since at least 1998, when CNN first asked the question. There is no equivalent poll for addresses before 1998.

These numbers have to be bullshit. Trump is a ridiculous moron. Everything out of his mouth is stupid or cruel. There's just no chance that anyone who isn't specifically a Trumpublican has anything good to say about his speech. It's not humanly possible. Nails on a chalkboard, that's what his words, tone, message, look, ugliness is like. No matter what the polls say, I do not believe anyone outside of his base (that includes the opportunistic leeches sucking on his blood & pus oozing corrupt teats) came away from the SOTU having any favorable feelings about it whatsoever!

Well they are bullshit but just how much is the question. The CNN poll like the CBS poll only questioned people that watched. From their page:

The CNN poll was conducted by SSRS on January 30, 2018, among 549 Americans who watched Trump's address. Respondents were first interviewed as part of a random national samples conducted from January 14-18 and January 25-28. In those interviews, respondents indicated they planned to watch Tuesday night's speech and said they were willing to be re-interviewed. Results for the full sample have a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 4.2 percentage points; it is larger for subgroups.

Some important caveats: This survey reflects the views of only those who watched the speech, not of all Americans. The poll was conducted among a group of Americans who said in prior interviews that they planned to watch the speech and were willing to be contacted after its conclusion.

People who choose to watch a political speech tend to be more supportive of the speaker than the general population; this sample was about 7 points more Republican than the entire American population.

Apparently a lot of people don't share your opinion.
I didn't watch the event, but all of the commentators (4) I heard on the radio today liked it. All of them are very left leaning.
On the up side, you only have to put up with him for three more years. Unless the economy is still roaring in 2020, then it might be seven more years. I wouldn't worry about that right now though.

Since the poll was about the SOTU address, there wouldn't be any point in polling people that didn't watch it.
Would you poll 600 people that have never watched the Superbowl and ask them if they thought it was a good game?

It's always a relief when Trump manages to refrain from the usual insane raving to which he is obviously prone.

I think their point which really SHOULDN'T have to be spelled out but unfortunately needs to in today's America that this doesn't mean 75% of America approved... That said, I am sure there are people from both sides of the aisle that did not watch but voted anyway... Which kind of throws all theories out with the bath water...
