the main argument from gun owners seems to be "i have the right to a gun... i have the right to protect myself and my family." however, when a solution is offered that limits the kinds of guns they can have, it suddenly turns into "but... but... you can't take my toys away!"
seriously, people, wtf is wrong with you? yeah, i get it, you enjoy something you got to have for a while, but even though you may not be a psychopath bent on watching people die at the end of your barrel, other people are... so, do what's right for your fellow americans and stop being so goddamn ridiculous and selfish as to not try and figure out a practical, common sense approach toward fixing the problem.
