My current salary puts me in a particularly awkward situation. I NEED a 6k raise this coming fall when my annual review is but I am not sure how the IT director is going to take it. I make so little right now that getting even 10% raises each year would put be back several years of what I need to be earning to live a decent life and being able to move out. I dug myself a pretty big hole accepting less than 30k for my current job.
less than 30k? part time i hope?
lol, man, are people here that out of touch with reality or what? yes, people do make less than 30k full time. not everyone make 100k+ a year like you all seem to think. i was making 28k full time at my previous job. i started this job at 30k and i'm currently at 33k
Laborers can make 45-60 no prob. if you are accepting less you are lazy imo.
to be fair it really depends on where you live.
where i live $30k a year is good pay and no they are not easy to get or find.
