Religion = race? I guess all of the Jew (religion), Christian and Muslim bashers here are all racists.

Why is there an inherent need to play daft when it comes to Islam?

You know perfectly well what they mean and yet you have to pretend that you don't.

You mean they want to create a divide, to start a holy war? Nah... seriously?

I thought they attacked the US over freedom.

And in kind we attacked them over freedumb, we are free to be as dumb as we want!

Even when we kill more of our people for nothing we still have people cheering for doing that, if that isn't freedumb, i don't know what is.

HEY, you killed 3000 of ours, we'll kill even more of ours, that's how stupid WE are!

For what? For ridding the people of OUR propped up Dictator? Or should we do what we always do and pretend it doesn't matter now?

Should we pretend that it wasn't about WMD's or terrorism when there are STILL people who belive that the terrorists came from Iraq and that France had something to do with it?

Its a good thing Rosa Parks capitulated because she didnt want to offend anyone....oh wait...

I say we start a drinking game. Anytime someone brings in a strawman or cites the fact that there arent any mosques in mecca we all drink!!

I think my original statement stands on its' own. These Muslims are capitulating to bigots. Possibility also exists that they did not fully know the facts when asked for their comments.

Face it, the "Ground Zero" Mosque is just one of many being opposed. It is only convenient for hiding your Bigotry. Must be comforting for you.

So again that's your position despite no evidence to support it? Why don't you take moderate Muslims opinions at face value?

I "oppose" all mosques because Islam is a stupid superstition. But i think they have a right to be there. I think the ground zero mosque is also a tacky gesture. I am not sure what other mosques you are talking about. Sounds like you are trying to lump ground zero mosque opponents together.

Can we also drink when a pro-mosque poster points suggests that all "opponents" of the ground zero mosque think that the mosque shouldn't be legal?

I guess your lumping all Muslims together, you have a Sufi saying a Sunni saying a Shi'a is wrong. These people all disagree with each other all the time.

Great, never said they didn't. Maybe now you can accept that even some Muslims think the ground zero mosque is a bad idea. Kind of puts a dent in the idea that anyone that thinks its a bad idea is a bigot.

The reason those Muslims oppose the mosque is that it's creating hatred among the bigots. I don't see what's so hard to understand about that

What's difficult to understand is why you won't take their comments at face value. It's not because they don't want to anger people you consider bigots. Not sure why you're accusing them of dishonesty. Of course, if the people building the Cordoba center (get it, Cordoba, Spain center) tell you the location of the center is not meant as an affront you suck it up.

Christians are just upset they didn't think of it first...

I wonder... would there be any problem if it was a Church instead of a Mosque?

Christianity has its faults but I'm not aware of it having any connection with 9/11.

all the leaders of the usa have been christians and the USA has been

A) Great Humanitarian and Peacekeeper in the region
B) Deposing Democratically elected leader in Iran so they could securely ripoff the people of Iran and bombing the hell out of Iraq and giving weapons to both side during a war...

Hey I agree it would be tacky for the US to open a democracy center in Tehran but they're not doing it. I don't think the US has much credibility in Iran or Iraq, but that doesn't excuse the Cordoba (capital of Muslim intrusion into Western Europe.)

Why can't they just build it somewhere else, seriously.

Well I liked the idea of building it there myself. It shows the extremists that we are inclusive of all religions in this country. But alas we wont do something so smart instead we will be dictated by fear.

Let's face it radical Muslims don't give a shit about displays of tolerance. Nordic countries have bent over backwards to greet Muslims and they've been greeted with stabbings by the extreme ones.

Also reminds me of the arguments by Sandorski and Throckmorton that the moderate Muslims who oppose the Cordoba center hold that position because they are just afraid of angering the bigots. In a way it sounds like you want to make the fundies happy. Why cave?

I think we show enough tolerance. A lot more then most countries around the world. There should be a limit.

Is pretty true and sad right there..

Most people are too ignorant to even know the truth about what goes on around the world in the first place..

I worked at a polling station during the 2008 election and the things that I would hear out of people's mouth made me sad once I realized these are the people who vote. Some of them didnt even have their own opinions for Christ's sake. They went off pamphlets that their political parties sent them.

Ok where should that limit be decided? Should we start banning certain religions? I mean we allow more religions than anywhere else in the world then obviously we are entitled to ban a few we dont like. How about race?

Its very thin ice we are walking on when you talk about things like that.
