Here's what I picked up on Black Friday for $549. I swapped out the standard furniture for something a little more interesting, added the microdot and flip-up rear sight, and now I'm sitting right around $690.

Nice... Cheap AR candy...
Less than a year ago that would have sold for twice that...

A cheap POS that shoots most anything and oddly enough is very accurate...😛
Loaded with 45 cal monster HP's

I think Taurus is underrated. I had a PT92 and that was a solid handgun, every bit as good as the Beretta they copied it from. The location of the safety was actually better.

They had some problems years ago and it's hard to overcome that. The 709 would be an great option for when you need to conceal but I wouldn't take the risk when I can spend $100 more and get something proven.

Funny coincidence, I had a 709 as well, and I shot it side-by-side with my friend's LC9 and preferred the Taurus.

But yeah, they do have more issues on average. I just haven't encountered any personally, but I don't doubt the people who have.

Went to the local WM and Academy this morning.

WalMart = 3 boxes of Winchester 9 mm brass ($27 plus sale tax for 100 rounds) = http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/win...-ammunition/pid-167351?N=813859367+4294962971

Academy = 2 boxes of Winchester .22LR Tin Hollowpoint ($9 plus sale tax for 50 rounds) just like this = http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/win.../pid-967120?N=813859368+4294936979+4294963543

Now I have buyer remorse on the .22LR. Is it worth 3x the regular .22LR? I purchased 2 boxes of 50 rounds (.22LR regular) for less than $3 last week from the same Academy = http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/fed.../pid-811011?N=813859368+4294936979+4294963543

Shooting hobby is getting expensive.

Whats the knife for?
You gonna skin the bastard after bagging him?
Nope its for his nutz... I'm a CHB...😉

Did a little (CQCT) and have always kept one handy...

The Taurus is a PT 24/7 45 Cal 1st gen... Not sure why they opted for the second gen's...? Have never had an issue with this old hog gun it shoots anything you put in it as fast or slow as you like... Funny how I got it too... Started out with a stainless prop for a V6 Merc that I had $100 in and traded with a guy for a compound bow and arrows then traded the bow & arrows for the gun and a box of 45 shells... So ended up with $100 in the gun and shells...

I really want a 709. I might see if my gun store will let me shoot the one I buy before we seal the deal.

Oooooorrrrr....I could finally buy a 1911. I hate these hard decisions 😀

Do you double-fist the Glock and Ruger?

BTW, who stippled your grip? Looks well done.

The Ruger is what I carry. When not in pocket its next to the Glock for safety and convenience.

The Glock was purchased used and I have no idea who did what to it. Also had a custom pin and spring kit installed. Very smooth operation.

The green laser came from Amazon. Its standard mount but for some strange reason doesnt fit my Beretta.

Probably not. I consider CCI to be the gold standard in .22LR, and that stuff sells for $8 or less for 100 rounds.

Damn good deal for that taurus...I have the 9mm full size myself but I'm getting rid of it, never had a problem with it just don't care for the trigger

CCI is the gold standard for plinking type ammo. Accurate and cheap. But for the best 22lr its not quite there. That usually goes to Automatch, Elay, or other premium ammo. But for the price i will shoot my CCI standard velocity 🙂

As for nightstand gun here is my current setup. (not really a night stand...its a filing cabinet so it stays on top)
Sig 226
TLR-1s
Osprey45
Howard Leight earplug thingy (if i have time to put it on)

Its a bit annoying as my XDs is at Springfield and my FNP-45 is needing a gunsmith at the moment. So the Sig is doing it all. nightstand gun and carry gun. Which means the osprey and TLR go on and off a lot. Normal night stand gun is the FNP-45 tactical with the osprey45. When not home the whole thing goes in the quick access safe so dont have to keep taking things on and off lol

You guys forgot to capture half of your expensive phone and watch and pretend that you didn't put them in the photograph on purpose.

LOL ATOT.
