They'll likely remain very inflated for a year if not more. Entire supply chain got dumped and now demand FAR outstrips manufacturing capacity.
I heard demand is up 800%. Pretty tough to keep up with something like that. But also take into consideration, this pace can't be maintained. People are going to run out of money.
Are the prices leveling off to reality on ARs? I'll probably be in the market in a couple months.
Inflated I can deal with, as long as they are within reality. They'll likely remain very inflated for a year if not more. Entire supply chain got dumped and now demand FAR outstrips manufacturing capacity.
I went to a local gun show today and am still disturbed on how much they're raping people on ammo. I watched one guy pay $50 a box (50 rounds 9mm Luger). When I said it was way to high for me both the guys were saying "yeah it seems that way now, but it's only going up". Not sure which disturbed me more the prices people were paying (that guy wasn't the only one shelling out that much) or the mindset of these people.

Good lord, eat a sandwhich.
Does anyone know of a shooting range like this in Texas? The place is AWESOME!
Range? Looks more like a store to me. Didn't even see mention of a range.
I have two ranges within easy travel distance of me (2 hours north of DFW area). One is more geared toward organized shooting (holds events for adults & kids) and individuals wanting to practice, out to 100 yards. The other is out in the middle of nowhere, and is designed more for the "Joe the Plumber" shooter, with marked range out to 330 yards.
Each of them runs me $40/year.![]()
9mm? Lol its $12 a box here.
Where is "here" because I'll be on my way to pick it up.
Been there done that. It takes much more than a sandwich and disgusting protein shakes to overcome a high metabolism. Food gets expensive and time consuming to cook more than 5000 calories per day. :/

Hey any of you guys used gunbroker? I just realized CTD doesn't ship to CT (after waiting like a dope for 2 weeks for a gun to arrive that was never even shipped).
I've been twice to that place (Shooter's World), shot only once. Pretty sweet place. Nice, clean, and modern. It's nice that their 25 yard range can withhold up to .308 and the rifle range up to .50 BMG.
Bought my Savage rifle from them actually.
I've used it twice, once for a 1911 and once for a bunch of magazines, went smooth as silk both times, but then again I didn't order from a company that wouldn't ship to my state. Most pages will have a warning about such things in the item description.
I could be wrong, but I don't think gunbroker can do anything to help you if they had a notification on the item page, you'd have to work it out with the seller, although it coldn't hurt to ask gunbroker if that fails.
So this is now on my bucket list for my next gun to get.
It is made by Canik and is a CZ 75 clone. It's called the Canik 55 FC "shark" and it certainly looks mean. I love the look of it and it has many positive reviews for it. Only problem is I have found only one place that sells the one model, the hard chrome with rail, that I'm looking for. Which is Buds Gun Shop. Now I don't mind buying the gun from them, but I do mind paying over MSRP for a gun. Which is what Bud's is charging. The gun has an MSRP of $459 and Buds is asking $470 + shipping.
However, there is something else to look for. Buds is importing these guns directly from Canik I think, where as the regular importer is Tristar. Academy has the Tristar line but not the exact model I want. The Tristar model of the Canik 55 chrome shark is the T-120. They have the T-100 in non chrome and without the rail for $350. They also sell the C-100, S-100, and S-120 version for about $350 for all those as well. However, none of the stores carry the chrome version with the rail.
So I am currently having to wait. I am not going to pay Bud's price for the gun I want, and it doesn't look like any shops are going to carry the one I want exactly any time soon. So I emailed Tristar and asked which retail partners they are working with that are indeed carrying the T-120 model. Hopefully I get an answer back soon. This way I can get the gun I want at the price I want. Which is $350 instead of $470.
