So this is now on my bucket list for my next gun to get.

http://img.blogcu.com/uploads/tabancalar_shark_fc_ozel_beyaz_krom.jpg

It is made by Canik and is a CZ 75 clone. It's called the Canik 55 FC "shark" and it certainly looks mean.

Check out the Jericho/Baby Eagle. It has a similar profile.

Here's an interesting CZ, I saw on Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIK6cFPevmE

Wallmart had some value packs in for 223 and 45acp today. The 223 though wasn't a very good price, 40 rounds for 30 bucks. The 45 was better at 100 230grain hollow point rounds for 49. I have enough 45 for a bit, I don't go shooting my 45 all that often anymore and I didn't have much hp left.

Yah that Jericho 941 is the look I like. Difference is the Jerico 941 is a myth to find and more expensive to boot.

Other than the angle of cut at the muzzle, it's nothing like the Desert Eagle. It's just a CZ-75 with a full length dust cover.

Correct. Here is a field stripped Desert Eagle.

The slide rides on top and over the grip frame. The safety is on the slide. The angle of the grip is very different as well. There are further technical differences but those are the easy to spot ones.

Here is a CZ 75 stripped.

The slide is smaller, rides inside the grip frame. The grip is curved more and longer. The beaver tail is smaller. The bore axis of how high one can grip the gun is higher. Safety is on the grip frame. Standard guide rod + recoil spring setup compared to the desert eagle.

The gun I like is the same thing as the CZ 75, except the grip frame extends out to cover the bottom of the slide which has been truncated and cut away into the front look of a Desert Eagle. Otherwise every other design and mechanical feature is taken from the CZ 75.

Personally I hate the front end look of the standard CZ 75. They tried to copy the 1911 and Hi Power slide front end look. That look is okay on 1911's but it just looks odd to me on the CZ. I think it has more to do with the fact the slide is "thinner" on the CZ and that bottom part looks like a massive bulbous nose job gone wrong.

For those that don't already know, the Desert Eagle is a gas operated rotating bolt system much like most semi auto rifles. Its very different from a typical Browning recoil operated handgun.

Yeah - I know. I'm saying the CZ clone resembles the DE, not passing judgement on the clone. It's the DE I don't want because...

Yes - I find the rotating bolt excessive in a handgun. I've read of plenty of reliability issues, fired the 44mag version and had it both FTE and FTF, and talked to the range staff who HATE the gun because everyone shoots it 14 times and hands it back...and despite that it requires more maintenance than the 1911s that they clean every 500-1000 rounds.

Well, I like the look of the DE, but to have the look with the reliability of a CZ? Yes please.

so jealous. Only 100 yd range around here is outdoors, and the range masters are essentially reincarnated Nazis. With how busy it is, it's just not worth going.

Next time I head across state to see my parents, maybe I'll go the extra hour north and check it out.

Well I'm about right in the middle of both 100 yard ranges on my side of the state. Shooter's World is about 45-50 mins away from me, and Hernando Sportsman's Club is about 50 minutes away (that one is outdoors), so I don't get to shoot at 100 yards very often.

When I went back in December it was pretty well stocked and busy as they had just opened not sure how it would be now. My only dislike of the place is it seems to attract a lot of novices, which isn't bad I like more people getting into the hobby, but I'm always a little more wary around people that have only handled a gun a few times and decided to bring their SO along for a range trip.

So I figured I'd upload some of the crappy pictures I took with the camera off my phone off some of my recent acquisitions.

Hrr, I don't understand that lever action and why anyone would buy it.

Edit: What micro clone is that? It's designed backwards from an actual Aimpoint.
