Please select another payment method." PayPal works however when going through the link on the PayPal promo site but you can't get to the 8800GT from that link.

Well, good luck to everyone who ordered - the wait begins. WMC, unite!

Thanks for the info binister.

It's curious that the 20% promo isn't listed on the paypal review page even when going through Dell's paypal promo page.

Maybe it's time to contact Dell or Paypal?

Whelp, when I get to paypal, it won't let me use my paypal buyer credit on this purchase. So this deal appears to be a no go for that method. Says at the top of the paypal page "notice some forms of payment are not accepted on this purchase" and buyers credit is grayed out.
Good deal for those that get it.

Umm... the 293.35 w/ 20% off is 234.68 which is what I think this brings it down to. The savings is instant... unless Im mistaken?

It is NOT instant, it's like the Christmas promo, it will take probably 1-2 months for the "credit" to appear in your Paypal account.

Now I'm actually kinda glad that I missed that. Ran around to 4 BBs too (although that did nab me 9x Hitachi 1TB externals for ~$180 a piece :p )

I just placed the order on Dells site. I also called them before hand as well as PayPal to confirm the 20% (Max $50).

$252.87 XFX GeForce 8800 GT 512 MB DDR PCI-E Graphics Card
- $50.00 Paypal cash back (hoping they honor it)
_______
$202.87 Total

Placed the order at 1:45pm PST... There is no record of the order currently on the Dell site. The only record is on the Paypal account and it takes 24-48 hours for Dell to process their Paypal orders.

Was on hold with them to see if I would get it regardless and they will not commit to whether it will be back ordered or not until they have processed the order. So that would be the main issue other than Paypal honoring the 20%.

I just got done emailing Paypal. I'll let you know...

It's based on purchase date not ship date, so yes.

From SD, Dell might not be taking PayPal payments at this time...

Dell is dead?????

I just placed an order for this card and paid with Paypal. Got confirmation email from Dell. I don't see Dell listed as a vendor for Paypal on Paypal website but the 20% offer is still listed on Dell website. I wonder what it means now. Any thoughts?

PayPal better follow through with our Dell discounts.

In the 8 years I have been signed up with PayPal I have never had a good experience. Not once... From the "Premier" account crap, to their fantastic "seller protection" policy to things like this. I have always wanted a reason to finally close my account.
