I can see Trump unhinged on election night. His cold hard fingers holding the keys to the nukes, while his wife is in the other room. He looks at the election total and loses his mind. He can definitely launch nukes on his own. Its set up to happen in 30 seconds from the president's command. the thinking was during the cold war that you would have no time to launch them if you had to run it through a chain of command. Of course they never thought a guy like trump would become president in the 50's/.

Well, then you should have a 25th Amendment sort of situation where the president is removed by his cabinet and VP - likely, something that will never pass. Reagan was losing it towards the end of his presidency, but nothing happened there.
