Damn that chick is dumb...

Wonder how much is true, how can you not know Africa is a continent? Altho it jives with the way she answered other things.
I guess the McCain people do blame her for the loss and don't want her in 2012 lol. (tho they created the monster....)

P.S. I am a conservative whom doesn't particularly like Palin.

Palin was asked this morning about the Fox report. She did not specifically refute the charge, leaving the door wide open that it is in fact true. Video here:

PALIN: That?s kind of a small, evidently bitter type of person who would anonymously charge something foolish like that, that I perhaps didn?t know an answer to a question. So until I know who is talking about it, I won?t have a comment on false allegations.

Some funny palin comments:
---
There seems to be a noticeable lack fancy pageant walking and cozy baby prop handling now the election is over. The way she walked towards the camera slinging the kid reminded me of an episode COPS.
---
She speaks in typos.

?Palin did not know that Africa was a continent?
Palin ?Well I new for sure it wasn?t a vowel?.

Given that we know she had no idea of the duties of the VP and had no knowledge of the Bush Doctrine, it's not hard to believe she didn't know the countries in NAFTA or that Africa is a continent.

The other story I've read is that she confused Southern Africa with South Africa. I think Palin is an idiot, but this makes a bit more sense.

I could see where an uneducated person would make that mistake and that is why the McCain aides summed it up as "she didn't know Africa was a continent."

The Southern Africa = South Africa thing is probably what really happened, and it still shows she was out to lunch when it came to world affairs but it makes her look slightly less moronic.

I heard that she didn't know that South Africa was a country and thought it was Southern Africa. It's really hard to say without specifics how useless she was with it. The third-person hearsay is unfortunate.

FoxNews from the Bill O'RLY show, moron.

The woman was under enormous pressure and obviously had a meltdown, but you people who are doing nothing but spreading gossip don't have any such excuse for your behavior.

The election is over, Palin is back in Alaska and is now nothing more then history. Don't you have any better issues to address?

There are plenty of issues to address, hence the thread. If you don't like it, you're always free to leave this thread, which happens to be about how big an idiot Palin really is. And it could be considered an important issue, since it seemed that Palin had bigger political ambitions in the future or was being groomed for a role beyond Alaska governor.

It's the 2008 GOP civil war. That's as newsworthy as it gets.

The speculation is that its not even the McCain people who are behind this.

Smear is a GOP special, and it is just as effective served cold.

Haha. Until she is completely ready to crawl under a rock, the criticisms should continue to flood lest we forget and, by some unfortunate turn of events, she gains more political power, particularly a run for the presidency in 2012. I doubt she will do that, though. I think the republican party is going to overall get smarter, not stupider this time.

I'm watching MSNBC. They were talking about how people in the McCain campaign were spreading rumours about Palin to cover their asses for losing the election. It's backfiring on them and McCain because they're the ones who picked her.

Fox propaganda didn't work this time, so even they are putting the boot in.

Waste all the energy you want. Gossip is such a constructive activity! ;)

As far as I'm concerned she was tested and found lacking. She's wounded so badly I doubt she even considers appointing herself to the Senate. If the people of Alaska want to elect her at some point that's their business.

the claim of credit for the Africa anecdote is just the latest ruse by Eisenstadt, who turns out to be a very elaborate hoax that has been going on for months. MSNBC, which quickly corrected the mistake, has plenty of company in being taken in by an Eisenstadt hoax, including The New Republic and The Los Angeles Times.

Either I'm dumb or the author of that article sucks ass at writing. He completely lost me after the first few paragraphs. So, the Africa thing was a hoax, are we sure? I can accept that. Of course, if it had been made about McCain, for example, nobody in the world would have believed it. It seemed in the realm of credibility with Palin :)

This story illustrates that the people who hate Palin are as irrational as the people who hate Obama.

You are so desperate to justify your hate that you will jump on any story that backs your belief that she is an idiot.

Sort of like Homer and his "I really believe someone said the N word at that rally and no amount of proof that it didn't happen will make me change my mind."

It was on prime time Fox news, hardly "jumping on any story". Early on I, and others, had hoped for more content and were incredulous, but it was on shep smith and o'reilly.
