I'm glad this is getting some traction, HOPEFULLY enough for a more "official" source, because I am like others here, despite my first post I have to backtrack somewhat with the statement that although fox said it, it is so obscenely insane that I would really like more corroborating evidence.

I wish there was more to it. It was on foxnews live. I cannot find text beyond others online reporting the same. At least a couple others in this thread caught it on tv, too.

I don't doubt he said it, but without proof.... it's easier for me to believe that someone is talking out of their ass about Palin than that someone that dumb could be nominated for VP.
Do you seek out abuse?

Not only is someone that unqualified to be nominated for vp, but someone from texas with similar qualifications (or lack thereof) was nominated and elected president.

im sorry, but palin's qualifications exceed that of obama. regardless of character flaws, she's knee deep in executive power, dealing with the microcosms, and the powers that border (canada/russia). obama was nothing more than a noobie legislator.

Palin is Knee deep in something alright!

She sounds like she's in a high school debate club.

That said, it's shocking a person would go into politics, get elected governor of their state, and not learn the basics. Whether its that she has no intellectual curiousity, is fantastically lazy, or just doesn't care, it shows she was by far the wrong person to be chosen as a VP candidate.
It's also absolutley fantastic that John McCain would make the decision to put her on the ticket without finding out if she even knew basic facts about the world and our government.
It's shocking, really. And it proves that he was way to irresponsible a person to be our President.
Thank God, he lost.

Also shocking she would accept the VP job "without hesitation". Would not your first question to yourself be can I do this job? Only an egomaniac would accept "without hesitation".

I agree wholeheartedly which is why I have thought her arrogance to think that she could be VP and potentially P is despicable. What blind pride, the hubris? How could she ever have thought she was qualified? How has her life shaped her to give her such a deep reserve of baseless confidence? She clearly doesn't understand her own shortcomings, which are obviously substantial.

If I told you it stands for North American Free Trade Agreement, could you guess?

And I agree, Africa here is way worse.

BTW, this is from another thread. Some interesting bits in there.

Palin has the typical neo-con, Republican, right wing, religious view of the world.
It's US and THEM.
So who cares who the heck Joe the Africa is.

being smarter than the average American is no feat. I want the people running my country to at least have IQs of 130. Seriously, in two days I could have BS'd that debate better than she did.

Rats are trying to pass blame

Others are trying to suckup.

And then you have people that still want to believe the smears being spread. :(

I would expect something like this from the rabid Dems (who love dirty laundry/gossip), not a thoughtful intelligent poster.

Oh no, you're not going to get loki, gotcha media! Africa is like America. There is an Africa and a South Africa! South Africa is ruled by Nelson the mandolin player.

Doesn't surprise me a bit if this is true.

Anybody see her response to the conflict within the campaign when the reference to her being a diva was mentioned? She said she wasn't a diva and invited anyone to come to Alaska and see if she lived a "diva lifestyle"?

I about chocked in amazement. She didn't even remotely understand the the criticism. "Diva" had nothing to do with lifestyle, zero, zip, nada. It was a reference to a demanding, domineering, bull-headed personality. A "I'm the big cheese around here and I get what, right now." attitude.

Talk about an airhead!
