I find it funny too that some people would freak out. I's just one day lol. If I had to do it I easily could. I like meat as much as the next person but I'm also able to not eat it if I have to for some reason.

I eat meat almost every day. Typically dinner for the week consists of one salmon dish, one or two chicken dishes, one or two ground turkey dishes, a tilapia dish, some sort of burger, sausage, steak, or bbq dish. Also have leftovers for lunch. I do have a black bean burger (the ones from Costco are awesome) once a week though..

Americans don't eat that much of meat. McDonalds hamburger - supposedly "meat" between 2 pieces sponge - supposedly "bread"...Can you call it as eating a meat? Anything you get @ McDonalds - weren't even close to any meat producing animal....

Chicken? Ever wondered? why so many "chicken" restaurants in black people neighborhood and why black people more overweight than others?
Answer - steroids that chicken are fed to grow faster and bigger. And eating "chicken", steroids go to human bodies...More damage does so called "Diet" - prolly few do know - for body to burn fat, fat is needed.

Don't want to get fat? try ukrainian beacon:

You'll never become fat...

Wonder why?

Ever wondered, why most asian people are so fit, not overweight, except for sumo fighters?
Maybe FISH? Most people don't consider fish as a meat, but, it's a meat - FISH MEAT...
Just difference, you can not mess up with fish as you can with chicken - who would pour tons of steroids into ocean, just like injecting steroids into growing chicks?

When you see, that americans are overweight, don't think, they eat too much or too much meat, ALL they eat - byproduct, that's been created in FOOD CORPORATION(s) Chemical Labs...

Money making machine goes in circles: McDonalds - "Diet Foods" - "Weight Watchers" - GYMs - goes round and around....

American's eat a F--K ton. A single lunch from a drive thru restaurant goes beyond your total daily caloric intake. People eat this 3 times a day, watch an excercise video at night and then end up taking drugs because they can't lose weight.

Let's be honest. Americans assume that science will invent a pill to make them skinny so why not party while they can?

When they almost die from waiting, thats when they get their stomach choped in half and stapled back together. Or they get one of those things that look like a cock sleeve to choke their stomach in half. After surgery the Dr. says "liquids only for a while". Yeah, let me know how that works out for you when you try to sneak by that pot pie.

Meat isn't the cause of people getting fat in America... the excess carbs and sugars are though.

I look forward to the day when I can go to a fast food restaurant and fill up on all the fresh fruit and veggies I want for pocket change. Thats when America will change its eating habits.

As long as a peach costs the same as a .99 cent hamburger people won't change their eating habits.

Meat is good. Protein is good. It should be eaten with EVERY meal. Good, long lasting energy. I can't remember the last meal I've eaten that didn't have meat. It's been at least a decade.

That's a good point too. Eating unhealthy is both cheaper and more convinient. There needs to be more convenient healthy choices then that would make a difference.

If meat is not considered bad for us, then why is it that burgers, chicken strips or other fast food (which is normally meat, veggies and bread related) are bad for us? What is it that they do to it that makes it bad? (adding too much salt? Deep frying?) Why not change that.

Essentially every meal I eat has a main entree of meat. Could be anything from a chicken sandwich to a hamburger to grilled fish, but the meat is there. Honestly I have a hard time getting full, and staying full for more than an hour, without it.

And for reference, I'm 5'11" 175 lbs, and I've eaten this way all my life without any weight issues.

Have none of you guys had authentic Indian cuisine? It's nearly all vegetarian and tastes awesome. I've also been to a few vegan places that had great food. I pray to my meat altar every night by stuffing my face full of the reddest of all veal, but food not containing meat can be abso-fucking-lutely delicious.

I usually go 1 or 2 days a week without eating any meat. I usually cook most of my meals and some of the vegetarian stuff is great. Further, red meat isn't healthy for your colon nor your prostate. And while I'm sure many of you enjoy the doctor's snapping of the gloves and wiggling his finger(s) around in your cornhole every now and again, I'd rather maintain my anal virginity until I get incarcerated.

Also, for those of you eating meat-free meals, WTF are you eating? I can't even think of a meat-free, cheese-free, and egg-free meal.

I stopped eating meat last September, and haven't looked back. I eat tofu, tempeh, beans, veggie patties / crumbles / etc. There a lot of meatless options out there. Add in fresh fruits and veggies, and I eat as much as I did before, just way healthier.

It can if you order multiple meals, but actually it tends to run about 1/2 recommended caloric intake if you actually read the nutrition labels.

I know for a fact that no single meal at any fast food chain has 2500 calories.

It's not about taste alone. Meat is the best source of energy/protein there is.

Why is indian food scarce on meat? Because they're fucking poor, that's why.

Bullshit. You're missing vital things your body needs and will die early.

Take a look at your teeth. Do they look like cows teeth? No.

Doesn't make it not delicious or not as healthy. In fact, I'd argue it's equally delish and probably more healthy. Though a pure vegan diet is impossible due to lacking 2 necessary amino acids, it provides good contrast to your typical meat sandwich. I sometimes get bored of meat just like some vegetarians get bored of no-meat.

And I tend to eat white meat mostly because I don't particularly like the longterm effects of red meat consumption. I'll have a steak or flank cuts, but only twice a week or so. I also drink a 2-3 servings of whey protein a day, regardless of what I'm eating that day -- be it vegetarian or not.

The point is that it's varied. It's not only healthier but also more palatable.

Depends, didn't McDonald have this milk shake that was like 1500 calories or something insane like that? That's just the drink, then you have a big mac and fry, that's like another 1000 calories right there. Of course, if you just have a big mac meal with a pop then it's like 1300 or so. (just googled real quick so maybe the source was wrong)

Then there's the more serious meals like the Baconator. Mmmm, why am I suddenly hungry thinking about that beauty of a burger.
