holly crap!

guess they didn't like the fact that we had a survey done. we are 99% sure they called DCFS on us. DCFS just showed up out of the blue and said they had a neglect/abuse charge against us.

she said a neighbor called them saying we are abusing and neglecting my 2 yr old. the DCFS couldn't say who it was. just that it was a neighbor. they had NO information on the kid. just that he was around 2 and 6. they didn't know the names of the kids or me and my wifes name.

Everyone in town (we have maybe 100 people in town) knows us and the names of my kids.

the DCFS worker said she would try to close it as unfounded considering the situation. but she said its not up to her but that would be her recommendation.

i am so fucking mad I'm shaking. I can't believe someone would drag children into a dispute with adults.

UPDATE: just got a call from DCFS. the investigator and her boss decided to close it as unfounded. we should be getting the paperwork in a few days.

my wife is talking to her attorney. he said we can't do anything until we get that paperwork. then it will have information to push it as a harrasment claim. he will do what he can but there is only so much we can do.

Also news spread fast around town. we have had people we really don't know well stop by and tell us they will back us on anything. seems the neghbors have been causing trouble with more people then us.

I am trying to find out there names so i can do some research on them. Seems they were run out of another town about 15 miles away for pulling the same crap. just not sure where to start.

i am a non violent person. i will try to resolve situations without it. BUT i am so mad i want to do something bad.


guess i should be glad they didnt say sexual abuse. then it would subject my kids to exams that is worse then asking if we have food in the kitchen (btw she did look. we have a huge fridge, a large freezer and a fridge in the garage all full).

i just can't beleive someone would drag little children into a dispute
 
at first i was hoping this was some sick parody thread and you were going to say DCFS showed up because of what you had named your kids. 😱

but that is some royal suckage. i hope it works out for you and the lying neighbor can be charged with something for the false information he/she has presented.

Is this actually over?

We had a similar false abuse claim when I was a kid. Protective services came to my school a few times, pulled me out class, and questioned me.
 
I wouldn't seriously suggest it, but I can see how that would make one want to beat the shit out of your neighbor.

I sincerely hope it gets cleared up; when people start to do things "for the children" who knows what silly course of action may be taken.

wish i could. but they won't tell us who made the call. but how everything was worded they are the only one in towns that would be it.

teh DCFS person had NO information on anyone in the house. no names, ages nothing. only the street address. Where i live in a VERY small town and everyone knows oure name (they have only lived in town 6 months or so) and the names of the kids.

hell there is maybe 100 people in town (pop is 300 but that counts all the farms around us).

Also once we told the DCFS person about what is going on with them she asked for paperwork we have about it. once we showed her it she said she would recomend it closed as unfounded.

BTW-Are you going to give us the details on the neighbor and why he/she would do something like this to you?
 
Call the Secret Service. Tell them you heard your neighbors make threats toward the President.

That's really crappy btw. People just got to be a-holes to be a-holes.

Better yet, call the IRS and tell them you overheard them say that they cheat on their taxes. :laugh:

moving really is nto a option. with the price of houses dropping i doubt i would find anyone to buy it. as it is there are 3 houses for sale in town.

hell cops were called the other night because her son (named adam) who is 15 and 5'10" and maybe 230 lbs was threatning a 9 yr old kid. he was saying how he was going to kick his ass if the kid didnt give him a skateboard (that adam gave him him for his birthday over the summer) back. well fuck its in the yard and we have 2 foot of snow on it!

 
I remember seeing a thread here where when a guy had shitty neighbors, he built a large fugly as hell rainbow colored fence right at the edge of the property. I recommend you do the same in this case.
