<< I don't like the fact that newer HP ink cartridges actually do expire. We had a bunch at school that expired a year before we tried them and only about 1 in 5 had all the colors. Most were missing 1, 2, or all 3 colors. We also had some older cartridges (600 series printers) that expired in 1998 and they worked fine.
I think HP made the newer cartridges so they would die after a short amount of time so you could not refill them.
To answer your question, my next printer probably would be an HP. >>
I believe HP's cartridges die because the jets are so damn small now.
Anyhow, I'm torn between getting the G85 printer/canner/copier/fax, G55 Printer/scanner/copier or just a 990 printer. The G55 and G85 supposedly have as good a print quality as the 990.
I don't need a scanner, but having a copier would be nice, as well as the extra desk space.
