Work Visa Rejections Spike Under Trump.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wired.com/story/h-1b-visa-rejections-spike-under-trump/amp

Trump kept his word. He wants to limit H1B1 work visas. What do you guys think? Do you know anyone affected by this? And, do you agree or disagree with Trumps stance on work visas?

It's wrong to withdraw legal status from people who already have it. Totally chickenshit & I expect nothing else from the Trump admin.

Limiting new visas is a different matter.

So more jobs for Americans?

That's if we can find the talent. I thought the reason tec companies were looking overseas was because the talent pool in America was very small. Or, maybe it had to do with money. I know workers from SE Asia typically take less pay, and work more hours.

Agree. Why disrupt honest people and their who are paying taxes, and contributing to our society.

""the denial rate for applicants like Usha who are trying to extend their visas grew from 4 percent in 2016 to 12 percent in 2018; the rate climbed even higher, to 18 percent, through the first quarter of 2019. "
Rejection increases don't make any difference. It only means more people have applied for the H1B. The 65K number
hasn't changed. Along with increases for people, that already here, that are trying to extend their H1B visas a second and third time.

The limit is 65K H1B visa and another 20K is being looked at/given for people with higher degrees (Masters and above)
The 65K limit is always reached every year.

So fat ass word is not kept. If anything, more visas are given. He's not limiting jack.

It's not about talent. There's plenty of that in America. We've just neglected our primary education system rather badly & failed to identify & exploit the talent we have.

The education systems in other countries provide plenty of talent for our Capitalists so why should they pay more in taxes to rebuild our system from the ground up? I mean, shee-it. Their kids go to private schools, anyway.

nope. not a chance. you suck at math

Nah. Russians are usually very good at math. They are bad at life. They wish they were Americans and since they can't be want to see us destroyed. Just like the modern day conservaterrorist Trump supporter. Their hate for God and Country knows no equal...

Remember when you tried to lie about Trump not being against legal immigration?

Oops!

Please see post 7 (I linked it for you, so you don't even have to scroll up. I'm a nice guy like that). Sounds like more people than ever are trying to come here, they want a piece of this Trump economy.

You misunderstood my post, dummy. I already showed you how he was trying to limit legal immigration. What’s funny is that you were trying to justify it here before you learned better.

Just another good showcase of what a dishonest person you are.

I don't think it has anything to do with the "Trump economy"-

Given that your trolling probably extends to several forums & forms of social media you apparently don't have the time to read linked material. Too busy shilling for Trump the Magnificent.

Sure it does. It would appear they liked the last few years of the Obama economy (which was quite healthy by the time he left) too. It isn't an either or situation.

Sure, whatever you say.

So let me ask your opinion, what is the point of this article then? If the same limit is reached year after year and again last year, there are just more applicants applying for the same limited number of work visas, than why is this article titled, "
VISA REJECTIONS FOR TECH WORKERS SPIKE UNDER TRUMP"? Would seem they are going for a bit of negative spin. Fake news?

It's funny how much people shun corporate overlords in many regards -

But when it comes to them crying about paying US workers too much you guys bendover and yell "THINK OF THE IMMIGRANTS!" You're honestly that retarded to think that they don't make shit-tons of false claims about the US labor market in an attempt to bring in cheaper labor abroad?

They really have you guys convinced eh? Fucking cute 😀

There is no such thing as the Obama economy or the Trump economy.

That's not relevant to what the Trump admin is doing. It's wrong to deport existing holders of H1B visas when they've done nothing wrong. It's wrong to fuck with a lot of the people the Trump admin is fucking with. It's deliberate cruelty serving no honest or honorable goals whatsoever.

Didn't we already have a talk earlier today about how stupid and irrational it is to frame your opponents' argument into some absurd (and obviously false) straw man just so you can pretend to claim an emotional victory?
H1B visas aren't about illegals coming to take your job. It's about making sure that, when companies are only interested in getting the best talent there is, that they bring that talent here to the US, so that their salaries are spent here in the US, buying homes in the US, etc. Rather than those companies parking that talent somewhere else, spending their salaries there, etc.

No you fucking halfwit dipshit. Do half - EVEN A QUARTER bit of research instead of living in your own self gratification candy land. The H-1B program is a HIGHLY abused program that is used by employers to bring in cheap temporary labor in order to avoid paying LEGAL AMERICANS (including immigrants) a reasonable rate for their skills.
