Fucking over the family in the OP won't change any of that. It's not what they're doing, either. Immigration just opened a slot for somebody who might.

Anytime there is a major policy change, I can pretty much guarantee you will be able to cherry-pick some cases to tug at heart strings...

It's pretty much impossible to implement any major government program that doesn't screw over certain people.

That is not in anyway stating I'm in favor of it.

The "major policy change" you mention is designed to treat legal immigrants & even citizens badly. Millions of people. It's inexcusable.

Its funny how "conservatives" claim they care about certain issues but always vote for those that make the issues they care about worse.

Debt? The biggest increases happen under Republican presidents.
Illegal immigration? Amnesty given by Republican president and illegal immigration peaked under a Republican president.
H1B's? The caps were increased under Republican presidents and actual issued visas were higher under Republican presidents.
Taxes? Partial credit here, they raised middle class taxes and lowered them for the upper earners.
The deep state? Lol we have the AG literally shilling for the president, lying to the face of the American people and congressional Republicans with a history of using their investigative powers to, self admittedly, go after their political opponents.
Border control and immigration reform? Completely non existent when Republicans controlled all of the federal government.

So let me ask your opinion, what is the point of this article then? If the same limit is reached year after year and again last year, there are just more applicants applying for the same limited number of work visas, than why is this article titled, "
VISA REJECTIONS FOR TECH WORKERS SPIKE UNDER TRUMP"? Would seem they are going for a bit of negative spin. Fake news?

Hey guys, since we're talking about fake news, I figured I'd bump this one. The story ran as rejections spike under Trump. They left out that the number of this kind of visa is fixed year in and year out, meaning that he same number of people are accepted. There are simply more people trying to get a piece of the red hot Trump economy, so more people apply for the fixed number of Visas. This site, wired.com, tried to spin it as Trump was rejecting more than previous admins out of xenophobia, white nationalism, etc. This is fake news and the type of shit that only strengthens Trump in 2020.

Bumping a thread you were wrong in before with the same wrong talking point is pretty lame.

The article is discussing the reject rate for renewals of existing visas increasing. There is no hard cap on the total number H1 or H4 visas that can be renewed each year. The hard cap is on the number of NEW H1Bs issued each year.

There is a lot of nuance in how our visa system works and it looks like you missed that completely.

How did we all know which ignored sock puppet has been recently activated that you were replying to...

They should really bring back the corporal punishment here and pull out the old permaban stick...

I am interested to see which of his dormant accounts pops up to take its place...

He missed it intentionally. You're the real racist, anyway.

US has to be the only country upset that the best and brightest from around the world are flocking there.
At the expense of native born Americans, you should be. The big tech companies don't have a stellar record when it comes to treating it's workers fairly.

C'mon broceritops. I will at least respect you enough to not blast you with insults since you can manage to write half-decent replies unlike the majority of others here.

But you're absolutely in the wrong here. I work in the consulting world that revolves around this type of work. We literally have an office in Hyderabad. It's a Big 4 accounting firm - it really doesn't get anymore prestigious than that. Inyet the people I've worked with are (for the most part) some of the dumbest of the dumb I've ever worked with. There are exceptions - absolutely no doubt, I will admit that. And typically when that happens, the firm will work hard to actually get them a full Visa and push for them to get a green-card long term... So overall I can applaud the firm that I worked for.

Others? Absolutely not. Watch the PBS video to understand more of what I'm talking about. Companies like Accenture are just farms for indentured servitude to the core. They aren't the best and the brightest - nothing close in the slightest. I've had to work with them in projects, and it is a god damn nightmare how stupid they are.

so like I've said - I work in this realm. If you want to try to prove me otherwise that there is this vast sum of temporary doctors coming in, feel free to prove me otherwise.

Don't waste your time trying to explain anything to dimfamous. He proves that stupid does not know it's limitations. That moron tries to troll but fucks that simple task up on the regular.

I can tell you that the company I worked for earlier this year had me posting H1B visa notices as they were steadily bringing in Indian workers for financial work.

Say it ain't so! In-sourcing is the new outsourcing. I've seen entire IT departments insourced, hundreds of people displaced by "qualified" foreigners. The quotes I used because the differece in skill levels is painfully obvious to anyone who cares to review the situation honestly.

Why don't you let s0me0nesmind1 answer instead of your unsolicited gibberish.
