3 ER for Rivera, ouch. Even Foulke wouldn't have choked that bad!

 for the absolute asskicking NY took, mentally and physically!

Funny how it all started from an untentional hit batter by Arroyo. Arroyo has 14 HBP in 19 games for 2nd in the AL behind Zambrano who has 15 in 22 games. Eat that stupid mvtherfvcking NYY fans!!!!!!

RED SOX NATION IS STRONGER THAN EVER

Wow stop posting. Foulke couldn't choke that bad? He lost the game the night before. Pedro lost the game for them last year. Asskicking? Are you serious? Hey why don't you take your trash talking to another thread. Get your facts straight. Haha Red sox nation is stronger than ever? This is pure GOLD. Just last week you were all booing Nomar, just yesterday you were questioning your manager's decisions, and just an hour before winning the game, you were wondering how much more asskicking the Red Sox could handle. Please, didn't your mommy tell you not to drink your beer too fast, it can make you dillusional.
Ahaahhahahah you compare Foulke losing the game with the score tied to Rivera utterly gagging with a 2 run lead? Please don't drink it's killed all of your brain cells and your cognitive ability has been compromised.

BTW links to where "last week you were booing Nomar" and "questioning your manager's decisions". Didn't think so, pansy boy, because I never said such a thing. Or better yet, why don't you look up the thread after Boston lost the 3 games in NY and I just laughed in your face... and then quoted all that matters:

RED SOX NATION IS STRONGER THAN EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ummm, obviously you don't understand what I mean. You meaning Red Sox fans in general. Sorry to confuse your tiny brain. And by the way, Mariano now has 2 blown saves this year. How many does Foulke have again? You don't have to answer I know its embarassing.

Whether you want to be completely ignorant or not..Arod was just as at fault as any Red Sox player for the brawl..I'm willing to say both sides contributed to it, but if he doesn't mouth off there is no fight.

And for another laugh, read the Heyman/Newsday perspective of this:

Clearly this man needs to get a fiction book deal and fast.

*Sigh* Listen to yourself my friend. "Grabbed Kapler by the neck" that would infer that he used his hand to put a choke hold on him. He did not. He used his forearm on the SIDE of his neck.

"his is further proven when he pulls kapler away from the pile yet proceeds to hang on to kaplers neck like a rottweiler" Look at the rest of the video and tell me that you do not see everyone out on the field holding on to someone during the chaos. People don't just let you go in the middle of a fight. Learn that.

I never said ARod didn't contribute to it, just some Yankee Haters that think ARod was the only cause for the fight, which is completely wrong. If Arroyo didn't intentionally throw at him, there would be no mouthing off.

Case closed.
Case closed coming from a brainless chimpanzee who forgot that Arroyo is second in the league in the cumulative number of hit batsmen, and first in HBP/Game%. Please put the Jack Daniels down, you can't possibly be that upset about choking with a 2 run lead at Fenway, could you?

Probably not. But he got fvcked up anyway.

Regardless, we have no way of knowing whether the HBP was intentional or not. What we do know is that Arod reacted to it badly. The pitch hit him on the left arm, as close to the plate as you can get.
Exactly. ARod made a lameass attempt to get out of the way. Then the pitch hits his armor and he cries like a little bitch who just found coal in his stocking for xmas. Then he stood there and pouted after getting his face rearranged. Hey GayRod, if you incite a pitbull, you deserve to get mauled!!

I'm sure you would be saying the same thing if ARod turned out to be a Red Sox player and the same situation happened to him on your side. Good job. Hey I got a statistic that matters though: your still 8 1/2 back!!!

Because a player leads in HBP means he can't throw one intentionally? Take your verbal abusing trash talk back to Boston. You are just jealous that your city will always be second to ours. Dream once again my friend, dream once again.

Omg how funny was it when Trot Nixon jumped in and started smashing in Sturtze's face while Kapler was holding him from behind! Ortiz tried to slug Tanyon but Trot held him back, and then jumped in himself! Very gratifying and nice payback for Jeff Nelson and Thug Garcia teaming up on the Fenway groundskeeper/preschool teacher last year. What a great day for Boston, they won the fight, the game, and now have the momentum going into tomorrow night's game!!!!

2 outs, losing by 3 runs early,
Not a great situation to put him a man on base. He could have hit him in the first inning when the score was 0-0.

first pitch barely missed ARod.
And the next one barely hit him.

ARod won the game for them the night before.
Well, I suppose, though I'd say the umpire who botched the Posada call had something to do with this as well.

Because a player leads in HBP means he can't throw one intentionally?
If you say so. Are you sure thats not biased yankee trash talking? Because that's what you are accusing a lot of people of doing.

Most reasonable people can see that Arod is first and foremost responsible for this fight, and Varitek a close 2nd. Jeter has been hit by pitches many times and never made a scene, though that may be because he can't fight and/or doesn't want to mess up his people magazine face.

I wish pedro was pitching tomorrow. It's not like these games matter though; both teams will make the playoffs, both teams will likely advance to the ALCS, and the team that has Randy Johnson will wreck the other one.

I didn't get a chance to see the game (and hence the brawl) and I have only read about 2.5 pages of this, so I don't know if this issue has been addressed yet. But anyway, this has to be the stupidest post I've seen thus far. Do you have any idea what happens after a brawl in baseball? Both teams get warned and the next HBP earns the pitcher and the manager a one-way ticket to the clubhouse for the rest of the game. So if anything, the NYY pitcher was SMART in showing discipline and not letting his emotions take over the game by plunking one of the Red Sox players in the bottom of the inning as NY may have needed him to stay in the game. And wow, Sturtze got beaten up by 3 Red Sox players (taken from your description of the proceedings).....that's great.....good thing it changes the fact that Boston is 9.5 GB. The brawl was pointless and will serve no purpose other than to get players suspended and produce idiotic posts on internet message boards.

-Tom
I agree, your post is one of the most idiotic on today's "internet message board" *snicker*... For a pitcher NOT to retaliate after taking an ass whipping shows that he has to sit down to pee, and he basically knew he got what he deserved for attacking Kapler... the only reason he most likely DIDN'T throw at someone the next inning afterwards was because NY's bullpen is so abysmal and beat up that they didn't have anyone to pitch after the 3rd inning (with Kevin "omg I just injured myself getting the mail" Brown and Mike "Dead Moose" Mussina always hurt) they had no starters to fill in. Either way, I get my ass kicked and I'm beaning someone just to make a statement - I don't give a fck. And if I was Torre, I sure as hell would have given a real pitcher a chance to pitch instead of Tanyon "Hurtzme" who choked the next inning anyway by giving up 2 runs b/c he was still full of adrenaline from his asswhipping. Not that I blame him for being shaken up after that :beer::beer::beer::beer::beer:

Well 2 outs would be the perfect position to put ARod on. Remember emotion plays a large part in the game of baseball. The pitch that hit him, hit him on the elbow. That would be past his forearm close to his body. A couple of inches higher and that would be his head. With the biased Yankee comment: Yes I am a biased Yankee fan trying to defend my Yankee team, however, I am trying my best to keep this conversation logic, unlike that guy over there. You are doing a stand up job too and I think this has been a great debate. I still don't see how ARod can be the culprit for all this. He did not throw the pitch at anyone. Arroyo could have apologized if he didn't intend to do it, there is no rule baring apologies. Varitek showed more aggression by following ARod who was merely saying something while walking to first. We can never know the true intentions of people, but players play on emotions and instincts. This was one of those moments where instincts put this at Arroyo's fault. Jeter is the captain of the team, he leads by example and he trys so hard to just play the game. I don't see why we have to bring him into this. Varitek never followed him to first.

Well 2 outs would be the perfect position to put ARod on.
Then walk him traditionally. It's usually managers who make the IW call AFAIK, and if he wanted to hit Arod he already had a chance 1st atbat.

More like "around 6 inches higher and 6 more to the right". This is complete BS, your elbow sticks out more than your forearm does. The forearm is back near or behind the head. I do not see how anyone can hit a baseball if your elbow is even with the rest of your body.

Arroyo could have apologized if he didn't intend to do it, there is no rule baring apologies.
Bit difficult to apologize when Arod is swearing at your face. Note that Arod started talking BEFORE varitek moved in front of him. Varitek stood up as soon as the pitch hit, but he was both facing and walking towards the mound.

Suspend them both tomorrow.

Forget the bullpen, let's look at
OVERALL team pitching which includes starters and the pen. Boston is 13th in the league with a 4.18ERA, and NY is 18th with a 4.50ERA.

Thanks, but looks like you lose again, just like your pathetic and overpaid team! 's all around to my fellow Red Sox Nation!

Eh, suspension is too harsh. I want to see them both play again. But we know the rules, if a punch is throw its automatic suspension. So there goes a bunch of Red Sox players. I think thats quite unfortunate.

Anyway heres a Goodnight Present

And wow, Sturtze got beaten up by 3 Red Sox players (taken from your description of the proceedings).....that's great.....good thing it changes the fact that Boston is 9.5 GB. The brawl was pointless and will serve no purpose other than to get players suspended and produce idiotic posts on internet message boards.

I agree, your post is one of the most idiotic on today's "internet message board" *snicker*... For a player NOT to retaliate after taking an ass whipping shows that he has to sit down to pee, and he basically knew he got what he deserved for attacking Kapler... the only reason he most likely DIDN'T throw at someone the next inning afterwards was because NY's bullpen is so abysmal and beat up that they didn't have anyone to pitch after the 3rd inning (with Kevin "omg I just injured myself getting the mail" Brown and Mike "Dead Moose" Mussina always hurt) they had no starters to fill in.

Yankee bullpen = 10x better than Sox bullpen. K, thanks.

So you lose one argument and then try to find something else out of nowhere? hehe clever. Lose again huh nice. Man I can't imagine how people close to you can stand you. ha. Perhaps you have no one close to you. Must be it. Thats where all the anger comes from. Yes I lose again if that makes you happy and joyous. Oh btw, the Yankee rotation is plagued with injuries. Thanks. Come a full healthy squad, along with a cancer free Giambi, we will see whose pathetic. Dead Sox better be afraid. 1918

Also funny how pu$$y the NYY pitcher is, he didn't bean anyone the next inning after getting his ass kicked and ear bleeding everywhere. He tried to choke Kapler from behind (who is half his size) and then got rocked when Ortiz and another unidentified guy came over and slammed him to the ground, then Kapler popped him while he sprawled out on the ground... very entertaining to say the least.

I like this ESPN pic from 2004 better. Your pic is outdated, are we living in the past?

Btw, cancer free Giambi was kind of funny... even though I don't like Giambi, I would never wish cancer upon anyone. Yes, even Gayrod (and no, Giambi tested negative for cancer, you should read more).

Most people can stand me, especially since I was benching double my weight. I bodybuild for fun, see, so most people will not disagree with you in person. ;)

All in all, baseball is just a game, and it's pretty stupid to hate someone because of the team they root for... 2 of my best friends are actually Yankee diehards, it's pretty cool ragging on each other but it's all in fun!!

That's a pretty funny statement considering when Boston swept NY in the Bronx all you heard were Yankees Suck chants during that series, Boston fans are loud, bold, and don't give a dam. Hell, it's 5-10 degrees cooler there on average during the winter, and you thought New Yorkers were tough?
I've been at Yankee stadium MANY TIMES AT NIGHT, and nobody said sht when I wore my faded Boston cap. Now try wearing NYY gear at Fenway, that takes balls... a NY fan is much more likely to get heckled or assaulted at Fenway than a Boston fan in NY.
