Downstate IL is no different than much of rural WI. Widespot in the road, unincorporated "town". At least one bar. Maybe two, and the fancy one has catfish dinners on Fridays.
I grew up in a town of 1800 people in central IL. 4 bars.
A little bit OT but were abouts? I live in Central Illinois and have most of my life, just east of Peoria in a small town. BTW I love those Friday night catfish frys at the local places although I wouldn't call them fancy....

No doubt he helped but I’m talking more about the people and how they became to let someone like Scott Walker destroy their rationality.

hmm. Destroy their rationality, no. Feed into their hate, yes.

This is a nation of feebs that have never faced the world the way generations before them have. Not a clue, not an idea, just wanting to mindlessly shove Cheddar biscuits into their mouths, watch Boo Hoo Honey Bangs The Football Team, and panic over everyone that isn't the same.

Next you're going to tell me that randos in a WI bar are actually poor judges of risk when it comes to disease transmission.

Wisconsin is truly turning into the Florida of the Midwest. I'm old enough to remember when so much of the state wasn't just batshit.

You mean... BEFORE the internet allowed them to inform you of who they were?

I was west of Peoria, Brimfield area.

We shouldn't need a fucking government order. People should be smart enough to stay at home because its necessary to LIVE.
Since most Americans are fuckin stupid they need an order. And since so many Americans are REALLY fuckin stupid they pressured the supreme court to overrule the order and now they can all go on to dying in mass numbers.
Fuck em.
The vast majority of people under 65 and healthy don't have anything to worry about. Get the rona, maybe feel crappy for a week, rinse and repeat.

You act like people have a choice in taking those risks. For many, it becomes a Hobson choice: what do you do when it's unsafe and your employer tells you to come in? Refuse, get fired for cause and then get denied unemployment?

Every day you step out your front door you're taking a risk. The odds of dying from C19 are comparable to the odds of dying in a car accident.

Way to dodge the point: many employees don't have a choice.

And car collisions are not contagious, let alone contagious up to 14 days before they happen. Stop trying to minimize preventable deaths

Allowing people to take risks is not a condemnation to death. That's ridiculous.
Wisconsin Death With Dignity Law specifically calls for physician assisted suicide, not death by Supreme Court Justices. There is nothing dignified about dying from a virus you didn't legally get cleared to catch. Think of the men who are going to bring the virus home and kill their pregnant wives along with the fetus, I mean the child.
