We got a little bit of snow here in NW IL.
Looks like maybe 1-2 inches, Just enough to cover the cars, driveway, yard, road, etc with a nice coat. (had a bit on the ground from before, but it had all melted from the road/driveway/cars)
I will be sure to put on my heavy winter sandals and my heavy winter shorts when I take the trash out tonight. Looks like now we have like ... 3 or 4 inches of snow accumulation
I'm off tomorrow so think I'll take that time to put up the Christmas lights while it's not as cold. I normally do it earlier but kinda procrastinated.
1-3" of snow predicted here, but it will turn to rain in the morning. Temps in the 40s tomorrow so it should all melt. I've got my car pulled all the way in the garage just in case I need to break out the snowblower.
We have a bit of snow but not much so far. It is crazy how fast it came though. It feels like it was not that long ago that it was shorts and tshirt and using the A/C and now it's full time using the furnace and wearing winter coat to go out. It is November after all though so this is more or less normal. Time just goes by so fast. The months are like weeks.
I don't mind winter, I just hate the constant darkness. Already missing being able to see daylight on work days. Dark before work and dark after work. I see a bit of daylight on night shifts if i get up early enough and that's about it.
Got about 7" total. I shoveled about 4" of powder last night and went inside around 11p.m. This morning I woke up at 5:30a.m. and started shoveling ~1.5-2" of wet, heavy snow and decided to bust out the snowblower.
