Too bad the 9800GX2 only has 512MB of memory because that's still a fine performer that's on par with 4890/5830/GTX 275. If you game at 1920+ I can see a bit of an issue (and only if you crank the AA usually), but otherwise how are you unable to continue PC gaming when you have such a solid performer already?
WIth the settings I like to play at (1920x1080, at least 2xAA and 8x AF, max eye candy), even a few older games like World In Conflict for example aren't as smooth as I want. This card even gets a hardcore workout on Neverwinter Nights 2. The noise of the fan gets pretty loud. I hate that. I have an E6750 at 3.4Ghz and 4gb of DDR2-1000 so maybe a quad would help. New video card comes 1st though.
Plus I got a ton of older Xbox/PS2/Gamecube games I missed out on that I'm playing so it's not like I'm in a hurry.
