I am proud to say that I still have all my peripherals with me: foreskin, tonsil, appendix, wisdom teeth.

Man, there are such thing as clean water and soap. If you are still dirtier down there than those damn mud-bathed elephants, I wonder what kind of wench would lie with you.

This reminds me to let you all know another thing: wheather you are intact or not you should not wash your the head of your penis with soap. The skin that makes up your head and the inside of your foreskin is a membrane (like your the inside of your eyelids, your lips, etc.), meaning that moisture can pass through it more easily. However, this also makes it very sensitive! I always used to wash with a bar of soap... then my penis started to become irritated ( I think it was that brand of soap). I talked to my urologist and general doctor and both told me that I probably shouldn't use soap there. Since then I have just rised my penis with running water when I shower. Soap is good for removing dirt and grime, both of which should not be present on the head of your penis.

I am sure that most of you use soap and will probably continue to do so... however, you might want to think about stopping. I was worried at first that I wouldn't be as clean as when I used soap, but in the years since then I have noticed no difference (exept the lack of irritation from strong soaps). Think about it is all I am saying--maybe ask your doctor what they think.

Hell yeah it is! I have read so many accounts of people that chose to be circumcised and then really regretted it. Its pretty hard to go back once you cut it off...

from my experience as an intact (uncircumcised) individual i must say, i couldn't imagine what it would be like to be unintact. more to the point, i couldn't imagine an intact person attempting any form of rape because dry sex is EXTREMELY painful.

anyway, both of my sons are intact. i have no intention of having them circumcised.

I did a lot of research on the subject (and sexuality in general) in college... however, I have a personal connection with the circumcision issue though. I am intact and always sort of wondered why it was that my parents chose not to have me circumcised. I wasn't interested in having it done, but just in knowing why my parents decided the way that they did. Also, it was odd growing up and being different than everyone else. It didn't bug me, but I wanted to know more about it. So, I began to study the subject and talk to people about it and found all of these really messed up reasons for why it is done. In the end it just didn't make sense to me, in fact it seems absurd and an act of violence towards our sons. I guess I just feel that hearing people talk about it open and honestly opened my eyes to the reality of the situation and I want to be here to help others see the truth as well... also, just to be informative and help people learn about their bodies/sexuality, which I think people need to be more in touch with (both mentaly and physically ).

i knew someone who got circumcised at 18. it isn't the operation or recovery that is so painful. its getting used to constant direct contact between the penis and the underwear that is soo painful and that goes for a while.

Yep, plenty of them. Go to that forum I mentioned (HERE) and start reading and asking questions. The circumcision surgery is even more complication and painful for post-adolescent men than it is for babies, due to how much the penis develops during your teenage years. There is also some risk associated with the surgery in terms of how it will heal and how long it will take you to be able to return to your normal sexual routines.

It is not true that circ'ed men have bigger orgasms. Ask the question over there and they will even give you measurements of the amount of liquid shot out, as proof.

I would recommend that you put that thought out of your mind and just enjoy your penis how it is supposed to be. If you want to mutilate yourself, you might try a ear piercing first--they hurt much less and will heal if you don't like it.

Their penis? Well... I don't know quite what that line is, but I'm intact and I have it and have wondered for a while what it is. I don't think that it is a blood vein, though many of those are visible. Hmmm... maybe I'll ask on the other forum and see what people think.

The line that we intact guys don't have is the lateral red scar line where our foreskins used to be... this scar line is located just below the rim of the head.

Yep. Go ahead and pull it back... be gentle, you'll know when you can't pull it back any further. Just pull it back to the point where you can see all of the skin; that will do.

As for the line... yep, its the one going all the way along the underside (if you're looking down at your penis) of the penis. I am trying to figure out right now what it is called.

One can use ice to get the head to contact and shrink (ever jumped in a cold stream ) and soap to allow the foreskin to slide back over the head (like taking a ring off a finger). If someone has this condition they can treat it by using vitamin-e oil applied daily to the foreskin, which will allow it to stretch more. You must stretch it out little by little, day by day, and it will become very slowly wider to be able to function normally. It DOES NOT require surgery or circumcision, just patience, time and some vitamin E.

Well, I meant by not being able to get stuck the fact that I will always be able to be moved one way or another. Nevertheless, my friend had phimosis and he had to get a surgery when he was young. He was embarrassed to take showers with guys who were uncut because they made fun of him at times (this is in Europe and YES, cut penises look "funny" to us just like uncut look "funny" to you). Now he is enjoying the ability to last a long time. However, reading your reply, I'm not sure if that's a good thing. I think I'm changing my mind about wanting to be cut, something I'd never expect from a thread on ATOT...

LukFilm~ Wow, that's really honest of you to admit. I strongly urge you to continue to read about the subject and people's experiences with being cut. Most of the people that were cut when they were born don't know the difference it makes... but on that forum you can talk to people that are in the midst of having the surgery done right now, are recovering, or had it done recently... as well as women's opinons on which they prefer, and their experiences. If your eyes were opened by what I have said, just wait... it is really shocking! I always figured, "hey, what's the big deal. So what." Well, after doing some reading you can see how firmly my beliefs have changed. Good luck!
