<< Foreskin CANNOT get stuck. >>
Well.... this is not quite true. MOST of the time it will not get stuck... however, there is a rare condition that some people have where the opening of their foreskin (the diameter of the "frenar band") is too small. This condition is called "phimosis." It usually makes it so that the foreskin cannot be pulled back over the entire head because it will not open wide enough. If one has this condition and forces the foreskin back, the frenar band reduce in size under the rim of the head and the foreskin can effectively become stuck. In this case it is important to release it ASAP as it can cause damage and pain to leave it in that position. One can use ice to get the head to contact and shrink (ever jumped in a cold stream
) and soap to allow the foreskin to slide back over the head (like taking a ring off a finger). If someone has this condition they can treat it by using vitamin-e oil applied daily to the foreskin, which will allow it to stretch more. You must stretch it out little by little, day by day, and it will become very slowly wider to be able to function normally. It DOES NOT require surgery or circumcision, just patience, time and some vitamin E. >>
I wish my parents would have known that; I to have surgery at the age of 5 for that condition. Overall, I don't remember the surgery or the time immediately afterward as being painful, but the part that hurt the most was when the inner bandage that covered the tip of Mr. Peter was removed.
