The other day, when she originally dropped out due to “mental health”, I brought the subject up to my wife and said it was very odd. Dropping out due “mental health” was very weird. Especially when someone who was recording commercials and having a goat stitched into her uniform, before the Olympics. Then she had issues during the warm-ups and her first round. She dropped out because of “mental health” issues. To be honest, I was HIGHLY offended because I have several people with bi-polar and other mental health issues in my family and friends. At the time, I told my wife this was suspect and she gained a lot of money and notoriety building herself up as being the “GOAT”, but now she is abandoning her team due to mental health? I said, something feels off.
Sure enough, two days later we find out she has the “twisties”, which is basically the “yips” for anyone who knows sports. This is not a “mental health” issue. It is HIGHLY offensive to drop out, abandon her team and claim she has a "mental health" issue. I’m sorry, the yips/twisties is NOT an actual mental health issue. Complete bullshit compared to people with REAL mental health issue. How the fuck does the press and normal people not realize this????
Do not use the term “mental health”. Use the real term, lack of confidence or nerves. That is what is really happening here. She has a lot of pressure and put too much on herself and the world did too, but it is NOT an actual “mental health” issue and is a fucking cop-out. She just couldn’t deal with it and I find it highly offensive that she just couldn’t support her team and blames a mental condition that isn’t real.
Note: This does not include her sexual abuse issues because she had no problem getting 5 golds in the last Olympics. Plus, she isn't using this as an excuse. Just wanted to note it.
