Just remember that you're dealing with Birther/Benghazi Q-tards, people. The more preposterous the lie, the more likely they are to believe it. Here's a great example-

I know first hand people who have committed fraud voting!

Somebody told him they committed voter fraud, and he believed them. It's not like he actually witnessed the alleged deed.

Alabama enacted Voter ID laws around the same time they closed a number of offices where you could get an ID... especially in the poorer "black belt" area of Alabama.

I know first hand people who have committed fraud voting! will i throw them under the bus? nah.. but its not that complicated to vote for someone that you know is not going to vote to begin with. LIke me! ive never voted once hahahahahha
So in other words, that type of voter fraud is so not such a big deal you aren't willing to get off your fat ass and take action.

I YAWN at your so called voter fraud.

The skinny is that it's very easy to be someone unaffected by Voter ID laws, and just say, "What's the big deal?" Your vantage point on life doesn't give you the experience to understand how it could negatively affect someone, and that's understandable; it requires thinking way outside the box. So, what makes this worse is that voter fraud is incredibly rare, which means there isn't really a reason to have Voter ID laws. I'd call it security theater, but I think that would be rude to the art of theatre. :p

Voter fraud is very different from rape and child porn. Voter fraud is a victimless crime until it rises to the point of changing the outcome of an election. So in other words, its not good, but also not worth suppressing other votes unless it rises to the point of impacting elections. And right now, we are orders of magnitude below that point. On the other hand, with rape and child pornography, every single instance has a direct impact on an individual.

However, dealing with voter fraud and rape both share some commonalities. For example, you make sure that the cure is not worse than the disease. You don't turn the country into a surveillance state in order to prevent rape. You don't disenfranchise millions of voters to prevent a handful of fraudulent votes.
It's sad that all of that needs to be explained. Even sadder that @killster1 won't read it, and even if he did, he couldn't understand it.

LOL I missed that comment you were replying to. For someone sanctimonious enough to compare voter fraud to kiddy porn, I guess he didn't see fit to turn anyone in even though he supposedly knew one or more people who committed fraud.

Given that state IDs cost money, requiring state ID to vote is clearly just an attempt to circumvent the 24th amendment.
And when you consider another currently active thread here, ain't it fun to see the same "libertarians" who say driving shouldn't require a license turnaround and demand that a guaranteed right like voting should require govt-issued ID?

And remember, all this debate is about a law created because of a LIE! Remember this. We’re essentially legitimizing Trump’s claim of election “problems” by not addressing the LIE this law is based upon and are instead arguing crap that’s being waved in our faces to ensure we’re distracted from this exact point.

The mistake is believing that explanation and debating in good faith is a two-way street with him. Like I said previously, he's nothing more than a shithead troll.

Hey look, it's the loser who cares so much about voter fraud that he didn't do anything when people he knew committed voter fraud.

The goal of every troll is to make the discussion about them personally rather than the topic at hand.
