Lol is has nothing to do with them being black, it has to do with then being stupid and working for a low wage and not knowing these things we have called laws.

Until you stop pointing out differences as a bad thing people will never be the same. I guess I am fortunate because of how I was raised. We moved around a lot. I think I went to a different school every year till the last two years of high school. We lived everywhere from the very small towns, 700 people, to large cities 2-3 million people. I got to experience every culture from the deep south to the far north. The result is I hang out with any and every race. I have latino, black, korean , white, old young and everything in between for friends. I listen to every kind of music as well.
For me the true test of someone who is not racist is the ability to tell racial jokes to one another and not take offense from it and just laugh it off . All my friends and me do it to each other all the time, like when the forest fires were happening I made the comment to a black friend" You better not go into the woods near the fire, your hair with all that grease will catch fire", he laughed and said "And you would come out looking like me !" and I laughed. We didn't fly out in rage like people that are so hung upt on the "oh no, you said something racial" people do, we just laughed it off because we knew that we were good friends and race didn't matter. The fact that he was using some stuff on his hair at the time and that my skin was whiter than his wasn't trying to put any race down, it was just some things that were true at the time, but the pc police will scream that is an outrage !
People are always going to be different and that is a good thing .
The whole " I treat everyone the same " garbage is just that, nobody does. When was the last time you made breakfast for your neighbors wife ?

Black history gets rammed into students heads every single year of school they have from elementary to high school. Don't bullshit everyone claiming public schools pick the last week of the school year to mention black history real quick.
Not only is black history such a large part taught in history classrooms, it finds it's way into almost every elementary/middle/high school english class though literature.
So you'd rather continue rubbing it peoples faces? Oh noes, people 150+ years ago where enslaved, so the ancestors of those slave owners still owe the ancestors of the slaves something. This is the thinking of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. There is a group that wants to instatutionalize racism and make sure it doesn't die, to bad those people are Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.
They don't want to let it go because if they did, people might actually get over it and move on. Blacks would no longer get special treatment and advantages that other groups don't get or just abuse the system or keep blaming others for their lack of motivation to try to succeed in life.

Black History Month is incredibly racist and so is the NAACP (national association for the advancement of colored people). Who even says Colored People anymore. To that list you can add any scholarship given to a person based on their heredity instead of their economic situation or intellectual prowess (there are several others I'm sure, just making a point).
I think we should focus on history as it happened instead of trying to single out we did this and you did that. United States citizens of all races helped get us to where we are today as a country (granted this recession isn't the best place to be).
We prevented certain people from voting, fighting in wars and generally being treated as human beings in our country's history and when it is being taught to our younger citizens the injustices should not be left out. This does not mean we need to dwell on this every day for a month since it should not be confined to a specific month. Several other people in this thread are saying this and are being electronically castrated for their misunderstood viewpoint.
I like Morgan Freeman as an actor and enjoy his stance in this video. Stop talking about how he's white, he's black, he's asian or whatever and eventually everyone is a person.

Get over it and move on? Special treatment and advantages? There are ZERO advantages to being black in America. If you're referring to Affirmative Action I wouldn't call that an advantage when it effects a mind numbing small number of people. What about the ones it doesn't help? What about the many who can't even get an interview because they have a black sounding name. If Al Sharpton had never been born are you telling me racial profiling wouldn't exist? Blacks would be able to hail a cab in NYC? They wouldn't be followed around a store simply because they have dark skin? I tell you what, find me one black person who would chose these so called "advantages" you speak on, over them having EQUAL rights. You won't find one. They know that won't happen so they hold on to the crumbs they're thrown (Affirmation Action) But it's not a choice they would prefer if they had an option. They get this slight treatment over other groups, because other groups don't have to deal with a fraction of the shit they do. In the end, black people lose 99/100 times. I'm sure glad I'm white and don't get that kind of special treatment.
