Black History month is extremely racist.

The sad thing is that if a White guy said why do we need a Black History month, Al Sharpton would be all over that.
Freaking this.

its a pathetic attempt at an apology for slavery
I don't think it's necessarily that. I imagine this whole thing started out with good intentions, but now it's gotten out of hand. Unfortunately, black people are not racist for throwing a negro slur at fellow black people, yet white people are. If the white man doesn't agree with another race's opinion, that man is a racist. I say man because of sexist issues that apply as well.
The ONLY way that we will ever consider everyone equal is to stop talking about race and racism. Stop trying to make amends for crap that happened in the past. Stop trying to appease everyone. You cannot appease everyone, so why bother? You will end up discriminating against someone.
Most people that play the "Equal Opportunity" card piss me off. Going around saying things like "I don't see color" or "I've got several black friends" or crap like that. Why do you try to justify it to make yourself look good? Does it really matter that much? Many people that feel as if they are being discriminated don't care if you've got a racial equal view. They just want to be treated fairly. And by fairly, I mean better than you.

Well fuck, what do you propose we do? Forget about all the injustices of the past so that we can continue to relive them in the future? Why bother teaching about the holocaust while we're at it? After all, it was so long ago...it never really happened right? Let's just forget about science too because we all know that sky fairies created the world and all its wonders so there's no reason to explore or try to figure these things out.
Well, history is in the past so let's just move on without ever learning from it. It's like dumbfucks have taken control and threw a huge blanket of ignorance over the United States.
God, no. But why should we promote it into it's month? It's become a joke among many of my friends. The black friends joke about how they should be treated better because it's their month. Sadly, this is how many Americans believe. If we are truly an equal country, don't promote someone over another during a month or a day or anything.
I'm fairly positive we've learned from history regarding slavery and racism. You'll find a few that haven't, but most have. Keep teaching history. Keep teaching our kids about America's past and the problems we've gone through, but don't promote a week or a month about a specific race, gender, creed, religion, nationality, whatever. You won't be teaching about equality then.
<--- Oh, and P&N is thataway.
