Where is Native American Month? White Appreciation is all year long.

That statement is emotional and factless just like stating we should have WET.

We do have WET. ABC, NBC, CBS, MTV, ...

No. WET would not have any shows with people other than white people. Nor do they push a "white" agenda. Your statements gives the impression that you "blame the man for keeping you down".

Just because a person thinks that television and culture is geared towards the white majority doesn't mean that they associate that with keeping the black man down. It's about supply and demand - those channels produce what people want to consume. The majority of people want to consume white culture. Those that don't, either don't watch television or instead watch BET or whatever. To deny that television programming targets certain audiences is to be ignorant.

Peopled are divided upon class lines in this country, not so much race. The majority of minorities fall into the poor or working poor classes. So yes, they don't enjoy much privilege in this society, but it's not so much because of their skin color anymore.

You want to know what entitlement is? It's the white neocons claiming that when somebody is destitute, it's through nobody's fault but their own and there are absolutely no other contributing factors. People like Rush and O'Reilly cater directly to these mindsets. The douchebags who listen to them are the ones suffering from entitlement syndrome - one which is far older than the slave trade or native genocide in the Americas.

Why is there BET and no WET?

If whites started having "white history month" all hell would break loose.

Please, every other channel is a WET.

No every other channel is a regular channel. There are lots of different races on tv. There is just no need to have a white or black only channel.

fixed that for ya. ;)

I am white, I was just instigating. Isn't that a law on ATOT? Instigate or ban?

I don't know about the rest of you but I pay my respects to Asians a lot more than once a month since the birth of the internet and free porn.

In no way were they treated as badly as the slaves, and most importantly, they came to the new world by choice. Also, they could go back to their homelands once their contracts were up.

But let's face it: many immigrant groups were mistreated when they came to this country. However, none were treated as poorly as the Blacks.

Also, we still need to attempt some type of reparations for the American Indians as they were totally screwed by the govt. Nothing like herding people up and setting them on a piece of land like cattle.

the native americans were treated way worse than the slaves. they were slaughtered, pushed onto crappy land reservations and taken advantage of at almost every turn. at least the slaves got food and shelter.

im half mexican and my stepdad was an angry black man. ive got a good view on this topic i think... he and his family didnt care about black history month at all. every year, the schools have the kids do reports on prominent black figures from history. i know i didnt own any slaves, regardless of whether my family did 200 years ago... not my bill to pay.

It's definitely a law in P&N. And I was trying to agree with you... ;)
