Look at this chart of Gore's contributors. Lawyers and lobbyists are the largest contributors. I don't think the democrats have much room to argue which side was bought out if any.

Just us socially liberal fiscal conservatives who don't buy into the right wing republican BS that permeates their party now. The list of the people they kick out and abandon in pursuit of their goal of domination of anyone not of their "social ranking" is appalling. Anyone seen Newt lately? The party dropped him like a bad habit. The ran off Jefford and now a rep in Florida. Just watch the news in the coming weeks. It's not too popular to support this guy sleeping in the white house now. Politically,he's just too risky.

As far as teh Kyoto protocol goes, I'm glad it wasn't signed. I'm a pretty strong environmentalist (it rubbed off of my dad who loves going to nation parks/museums and joined the sierra club, etc) and I've taken several Earth System Science courses so I know a lot more about whats going on then the usual folk I think.
Although the Kyoto protocol would reduce greenhouse gases, the stipulation and loopholes were too great. It allowed of course developing countries like India to pretty much ignore it, while the US would be under some heavy limits. It also failed to take account carbon sinks, so although the US pollutes a lot, we take in a lot from our trees/forests. In fact, the US is one of the most environmental friendly nations (well we just have other ppl tear down their trees. 😉). If you notice places like most of Europe, how many freakin forests do they have left?

Because the conservative media does'nt tell them about Bush lies and how he cost thousands of lives in New York with his administrations . inaction. Meanwhile they are playing to FUD and lining thier pockets and get the to-damn-busy middle america to believe thier paltry tax cut will really make a difference in their lives.

Are Mr. O'Reilly's views that screwed up? Personally, I like his position on "responsibility." If you do the crime, you do the time. Another view is that what you do in private - is your own business. What gets leaked out into public is then everyone's business. Sounds like some simple views to me. 😉
