do you conservitive republicans have no foresight?!?

One guys said "who cares about some dumb bears in alaska?"

another says "i love ronald regan"

another says "the kyoto accords , who needs them, i love the greenhouse effect"

yet another says "f-u california"

are you guys just incrediblly stupid or just trolling?!?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
those dumb bears are part of our country why would you want to pollute and destroy the only truelly untouched ecosystem in the conteninatal united states??!?!

ronald regan is a lying bitch who should be shot for the loads of crap he shoveled onto the american public especially the runaway national deficet he so gladly gave us.

bush hates the environments, he is tooo frakin stupid to understand why the kyoto accords were importnat and why the greenhouse affect will hurt the whole world.

and with the california power issues. California has the largest economy of the entire united states. if they go down you will too, no matter where you are. The reprecussions will be felt everywhere

try, please try to have some foresight. care about the earth, care about children, and stop being such money grubbing ($300 is peanuts in a large scheme of things) selfish myopic retards.
we will all regret it if you stay that way.

(if you're wondering)
i consider myself a consrvative democrat. I care about the environment, public education, and equality but i also care about a open and free capatilistic market.

Can you provide some proof to back this up? And you do realize that democrats were the one who pushed a lower tax cut. Plus if you dont want your 300 dollars send it to me.Plus there will be larger tax cuts for your bracket next year. Be glad. You really believe gore would have given you anything?

From my Macroeconomics class: Reagan put us into a recession because he wanted to lower taxes, but at the same time he wanted to increase government spending. Because of that, the defecit shot up, sending our economy into a downard spiral.

Also, Reagan was VERY lucky that he did not get into deep sh1t for the Iran/Contra scandal. Recent reports indicates that he had more to do with it than he lied about on television.

First, repubs, 300 bucks aint jack $hit in this economy.

The tax cut negotiated still favors the rich, and not the starving, but there is some temperance in it.

Republicans are the "cry like a whiney little bitch" party.

Look at what the Fvckers did to Jeffords. He didnt agree with the direction the so called "compassionate conservatives" were going, so he voted his conscience. What did he get? Threats of repercussions... snubs... intimidation.

People, this is why you vote the person, and not the god-damn party. People who line up behind parties are stupid and cowards. The individual has always defined American society, so why do we suddenly switch to team sports when we get to the legislative arena? Answer: Cause it's easier.

Well, this ain't no football game, and we had better unlearn the entrenched party mentality that has been fed us.

When was the last time the US voter had a legitimate choice in an election... Lincoln?

The party system is what is at fault. They all line up behind their pitiful ideas, and anyone who dissents is immediatley a Heretic! To be burned at the stake!

Where is courage? Where is belief? Is this all American politics has become, is some god-dam team sport? Where are the real heroes...

Yes I do agree, but I think Clinton was as well. Prices for gas were really high last summer if I recall. And have you actually been to the area of alaska that republicans want to dig? Republicans claim there is nothing there but democrats want to preserve it. Choose what you want to believe.

Soapdish 300 dollars is just to start. Second the tax cut would have been larger if democrats didnt push a smaller cut.
Heres an article from CBS:Tax Deal Sealed

The biggest tax break in two decades, the compromise package would give households a refund of up to $600 this year, reduce most income tax rates across-the-board by three percentage points starting July 1, 2001, and create a new 10 percent bracket.

Its across the board. Not to directly to the rich. 600 dollars to poor families could mean a lot.

Edit: Also from the article.

For married couples who pay a tax penalty, the 15 percent bracket would widen so that more of their earnings are taxed at a lower rate. The package also would increase the standard deduction for married couples so it equals twice that of singles.
Under the plan, the Treasury Department would begin mailing out lump-sum checks starting this summer to reflect the first year of a new 10 percent income tax rate on the initial $6,000 of an individual's income, $12,000 for married couples.
The new 10 percent rate would remain in effect in later years. The top 39.6 percent income tax rate would drop to 35 percent by 2006, with most other rates falling by 3 percentage points.

This seems to me its also helping the lower incomed as well.People who work part time get help from the 10% plan and also the rich dont get help till 2006. Also I havent seen any democrats push any alternatives for helping gas prices go down. They just seem to say we dont want to dig in Alaska. You really got two choices. Pay cheaper prices for gas or save the environment.

I happen to have other things to do than sit here and wait for some insulting asshole to reply in a thread just soaked in flamebait.

No, I am not going to spend 10 minutes searching, postiung, searching, posting etc. etc looking for stupid, idiotic things that Clinton and Gore have done. But are you really trying to tell me that Bush/Rebulicans are the ONLY ones that are assholes???? Democrats are perfect angels, eh?

i figured you wouldnt come up with concrete proof.

and by the way i never said that clinton and gore were angels, i think the issues that they focus on are more releavant to the saftey and well being of the entire world. almost all politicans are liars or thieves in one sense or another, i think bush and cheney are ahead of the pack in a lot of ways.

In case you haven't realized, this is simply an electronic bulletin board, in which the words don't count and everything's made up. If you believe what I say all the time, I'm going to kill you. Furthermore, the polar bears deserve to burn and be used for fuel, the wildlife preserves are composed of species that are obsolete and should be replaced with housing for our species, and democrats are smart.

Man, that is some stinky bait. Looks like your anger is blinding any rational thought. Why don't you calm down and make some convincing arguments instead of ad hominem attacks?

Ameesh- I'm sorry man, but you just make liberals and conservationists look so damn stupid. This is NOT the way you argue your points. Grow up man, you look like a kid when you state your arguements this way.

I am a liberal, and I actually do agree with what you said for the most part, BUT that is no way to go about saying it. All you are going to do is piss people off.

21 Rules for Being a Good Republican in 21st Century America

1. You have to believe that the nation's current 8-year prosperity was due entirely to the work of Ronald Reagan and George Bush, but that today's gas prices are Clinton's fault.
2. You have to believe that those privileged from birth achieve success all on their own.
3. You have to be against government programs but expect your Social Security checks on time.
4. You have to believe that government should stay out of people's lives, yet you want government to regulate only opposite-gender marriages and what your official language should be.
5. You have to believe that pollution is OK, as long as it makes a profit.
6. You have to believe in prayer in our schools, as long as people don't pray to Allah, Krishna or Buddha.
7. You have to believe that only YOUR teenagers are still virgins.
8. You have to believe that women cannot be trusted with decisions about their own bodies, but that large multinational corporations should have no regulation or interference whatsoever.
9. You know you love Jesus and that Jesus loves you, and that Jesus shares your hatred of AIDS victims, homosexuals and Bill Clinton.
10. You have to believe that society is colorblind and growing up black in America doesn't diminish one's opportunities, but you still won't vote for Alan Keyes.
11. You have to believe that it was wise to allow Ken Starr to spend $50 million to attack Bill Clinton because no other US Presidents have ever been unfaithful to their wives.
12. You have to believe that a waiting period for purchasing a handgun is bad because quick access to a new firearm is an important concern to all Americans.
13. You have to believe that it is a good idea to keep condoms out of schools because we all know that if teenagers don't have condoms they won't have sex.
14. You have to believe that the ACLU is bad because they defend the Constitution, while the NRA is good because they defend the Constitution.
15. You have to believe that socialism hasn't worked anywhere, and that it doesn't exist.
16. You have to believe that the AIDS virus is not important enough to deserve federal funding proportionate to the resulting death rate and that the public doesn't need to be educated about it because if
we just ignore it, it will go away.
17. You have to believe that biology teachers are corrupting the morals of 6th graders if they teach them the basics of human
sexuality, but that the Bible, which is full of sex and violence, is good reading.
18. You have to believe that Chinese communist missiles have killed more Americans than handguns, alcohol and tobacco.
19. You have to believe that even though governments have supported the arts for 5000 years and those governments paid for most
of the great works of Renaissance art, our government should shun any such support. After all, the rich can afford to buy their own and the poor don't
need it.
20. You have to believe that the lumber from the last 1% of old growth US forests is well worth the destruction of those forests and
the extinction of several species of animals therein.
21. You have to believe that we should forgive and pray for Newt Gingrich, Henry Hyde and Bob Livingston for their marital
infidelities, but that that bastard Clinton should have been kicked out.
