Jealousy. Nothing more and nothing less.
Jealous of our prosperity, our freedoms and our way of life.
Oh, yea, real jealous.
Like how you have no health care, a ballooning deficit, poor social structure, outsourced job, reliance on many countries for your oil uses, and you seem to think it is 'cool' to go blow the ****** out of whomever pisses you off...
The funniest part, I am still protected by your ass and I dont pay for ******!!
USA? Come north? Ha. You guys would bitch out at the first snowfall. :laugh:

What about us (British)? We stood alone against the axis powers for a long time before America decided to help. Notice we don't brag about it. And what about the Russians? They lost twenty-something million people fighting the nazis.

If it weren't for the US, theres a good chance that the world would be under either Nazi or communist control...
and everyone relies US entertainment.... and companies

;
Iraq = 0 hijackers from 9/11
Saudi Arabia = 15 hijackers from 9/11
US money --> buys oil from Saudi Arabi --> funds house of Sa'ud --> who stave off a revolution in their country by funding wahabbist mosques and terrorist groups --> who attack America --> But we don't attack Saudi Arabia because we need cheap oil (repeat loop as necessary)

People hated imperialistic Rome, England, Greece, etc.
The US is seen as an arrogant, hypocritical, and self righteous imperialistic bully. On one hand, the US ciriticizes the human rights records of other countries:
1. but has one of the highest prison populations for a first world county
2. Has an active capital punishment program that has been shown to be biased against minorities.
3. The US is a racist country.
The US is supporting and has supported corrupt governments and despots that oppress their people.
The US supports Israel.
The US is the only country that has used the atom bomb and it has a stockpile of them ready to be used again.

I've realized why people hate the U.S.-
Because the have a tendency to post political threads in Off-Topic instead of P&N. Like this thread.

Wow...I'm really sorry you feel that way. But let me make some logical points.
1. There is no reason to believe that because we have a high prison population, we're a human rights violator, and further, I remind you that the U.S. is the world's third most populous country.
2. Show me a stastic (solid and with a large sample size) that indicates that the capital punishment program has proportionally more minorities than the rest of the U.S. judicial system. If you can conclusivly make that case, I'm willing to concede that point, if not, I ask you to do a logic check.
3. What does this mean? Many complain that we make generalizations, yet with on broad stroke, you characterized nearly THREE HUNDRED MILLION people as racists.
Furthermore, I guarantee you that you can find a better correlation between economic status and improsonment than race and imprisonment. What does this mean? That we have a problem, yes, but that it is economic, and not racial problem that we have, and the solutions to that are a lot less obvious, are they not?
Please, In the future think about these things before you make such insensitive and logically weak arguments.

They hate us because we have 229 years of being better than any other country. Our culture is the culture of the winner. We take the good, the desirable, and the wanted, hotglue some glitter and ribbon on it, and sell it back to the rest of the world. And those foreigners stand in lines to lick it up, moaning about the horror of it all, but licking it up just the same.

You missed my point. I answered OP's question of why the US is hated.
