Iraq = 0 hijackers from 9/11

Saudi Arabia = 15 hijackers from 9/11

US money --> buys oil from Saudi Arabi --> funds house of Sa'ud --> who stave off a revolution in their country by funding wahabbist mosques and terrorist groups --> who attack America --> But we don't attack Saudi Arabia because we need cheap oil (repeat loop as necessary)

Jealousy. Nothing more and nothing less.

Jealous of our prosperity, our freedoms and our way of life.

Oh, yea, real jealous.

Like how you have no health care, a ballooning deficit, poor social structure, outsourced job, reliance on many countries for your oil uses, and you seem to think it is 'cool' to go blow the ****** out of whomever pisses you off...

The funniest part, I am still protected by your ass and I dont pay for ******!!
Canada is our biggest supplier of oil... where do you think we'll go when we're done with Iraq, eh?

USA? Come north? Ha. You guys would bitch out at the first snowfall.

- M4H

HAHAHA, dont think an M1 Abrams runs too well in -40 or so...
-40? no, I'm predicting temperatures in excess of 10,000degrees in all major Canadian cities...

Google "Nuclear Winter" and get back to this thread when you're done. 😛

- M4H

We still wouldn't have to go outside to kick your ass. 😛

Actually there was a poll that disproved that. Are you really dumb enough to believe that Canadians in general are "nicer" than Americans? That's like saying Brazilians are nicer than Argentinians .. I guess if you're extremely desperate to find something you might come up with that.

I don't hate America. I hate the American government.

But hey, that doesn't mean much, I hate my goverment as well 🙂

Edited for spelling

Oh boy, a geopolitical expert who cannot spell expansionist OR imperialistic.

Yes, you're one whose analysis should be trusted :disgust: despite your sub-10th grade level spelling capability.

What about us (British)? We stood alone against the axis powers for a long time before America decided to help. Notice we don't brag about it. And what about the Russians? They lost twenty-something million people fighting the nazis.

gee... i wonder which countries were responsible for the Nazi backlash?? WWI history anyone?

Oh, and even when America wasn't sending troops, it was sending supplies to the British. Without that, the UK would've fallen...

On the other hand, I think it's stupid to keep mention the nazi crap and it gets old. But I remember when I was in Canada, there were a lot more assholes... but maybe it was just me. Service in restaurants was quite slow and rude as well. Dunno, about Britain, but I don't think Americans are any more rude than other people. And if you think Wyatwaeag is a barometer of the American sentiment, then check this thread:

cuz the canadians keep to themselves and don't butt into other ppls business
cuz there are mroe ppl in california then all of Canada so a lot less ppl to offend others
cuz it is just polite to be nice to the retarded HAHAHAHAHA

If it weren't for the US, theres a good chance that the world would be under either Nazi or communist control...

and everyone relies US entertainment.... and companies

If you can't come up with this answer on your own, you're an idiot.

People hated imperialistic Rome, England, Greece, etc.

The US is seen as an arrogant, hypocritical, and self righteous imperialistic bully. On one hand, the US ciriticizes the human rights records of other countries:

1. but has one of the highest prison populations for a first world county
2. Has an active capital punishment program that has been shown to be biased against minorities.
3. The US is a racist country.

The US is supporting and has supported corrupt governments and despots that oppress their people.

The US supports Israel.

The US is the only country that has used the atom bomb and it has a stockpile of them ready to be used again.

That's nice, but that's not one of the reasons I am in favor of the war, as I said, neither here nor there. Please keep it on topic. If you want to offer further counters to arguments I have yet to make, I urge you to PM me, and keep this thread clean.

1. Name a first world country our size. Next.
2. Active? Hardly. Biased against minorities? It certainly was, and hence the reason I'm not a fan of Capital Punishment.
3. Negative. The US is no more racist than any other country, and probably less racist than most. We have a much more varied amount of culture, ethnicities, and immigrants than pretty much any country. Can you name one that is more diverse?

Could you name a country less racist than the US please?

1. All governments support other corrupt governments and despots. The whole idea of "sovereignty" and doing what is most advantageous for your own country.
2. So? Are you saying the Palestinians are more right?
3. Wow. So you are saying that if Germany, Russia, or Japan had built the bomb first that they wouldn't have used it? Any proof of that? And yes, I am reading into your comments on purpose. Finally, there are plenty of countries with nukes. At least we aren't arming other countries with them (Pakistan, Russia, India, etc) or misplacing them all the time (Russia).

Wow...I'm really sorry you feel that way. But let me make some logical points.

1. There is no reason to believe that because we have a high prison population, we're a human rights violator, and further, I remind you that the U.S. is the world's third most populous country.
2. Show me a stastic (solid and with a large sample size) that indicates that the capital punishment program has proportionally more minorities than the rest of the U.S. judicial system. If you can conclusivly make that case, I'm willing to concede that point, if not, I ask you to do a logic check.
3. What does this mean? Many complain that we make generalizations, yet with on broad stroke, you characterized nearly THREE HUNDRED MILLION people as racists.

Furthermore, I guarantee you that you can find a better correlation between economic status and improsonment than race and imprisonment. What does this mean? That we have a problem, yes, but that it is economic, and not racial problem that we have, and the solutions to that are a lot less obvious, are they not?

Please, In the future think about these things before you make such insensitive and logically weak arguments.

I've realized why people hate the U.S.-

Because the have a tendency to post political threads in Off-Topic instead of P&N. Like this thread.

You missed my point. I answered OP's question of why the US is hated.

They hate us because we have 229 years of being better than any other country. Our culture is the culture of the winner. We take the good, the desirable, and the wanted, hotglue some glitter and ribbon on it, and sell it back to the rest of the world. And those foreigners stand in lines to lick it up, moaning about the horror of it all, but licking it up just the same.

wrong, but it's that attitude of yours that's the problem. You sir, are an Ugly American, and you're proud of it- and that's the ugly part.

I'm confused...do you agree with the statemnts you made, or simply posit them as commonly held misconceptions/half truths?

Quite frankly, I doubt the world's populace gives a fvck about prisoners in our jails and prisons. I also doubt they give a damn about racism here.
