Republican: Change is something to be feared.

Libertarian: It's not change; they're all the same, grumble, grumble.

Hate is a many splendored thing.

Yes....but can any be backed up with anything beyond speculation and/or innuendo?

Umm, that's called the rapture, and only Republicans are allowed.

Of course not. I have no problem with valid criticisms of Obama - and there are plenty - but the typical trolling excuses are perfect examples of what is wrong with politics today.

*and yes I know my pic of McCain is hypocritical. Sorry, just creeps me out.

Just mention Ron Paul if you want to see some irrational hate. RP was the only candidate that I liked from either party.

I like to keep my options open

Hate is a strong word. I have no problem with those who think he is the better candidate, I respect their opinions. But people like the OP who think those of us who aren't phased by him are ignorant is what makes me laugh.

Actually, many of Paul's supporters, or fans now :D, would most likely support Obama over McCain.

But that said, with Obama, we see big change in domestic policies, but as I have pointed out in other threads, not a big change in regards to foreign policy.

I don't hate Obama, but that's not not going to stop me from pointing out my disagreements with him. I'd happily take him over McCain, but I still will vote for the LP candidate.

I think the only hate you'll see for Obama are from Bush fans, racists, Hillary junkies, and from those who think they are conservatives, but ironically support neo-conservative foreign policies. Two ideas that are greatly conflicting, IMO.

I hate Obama because his wife and his church he attended for 20 years made it plain and clear to me, that he doesn't like white people much. The fact he wants to scrap and change around the Dept of Justice to make sure theres more white males being put into prision (because the numbers are so oddly skewed towards black males). I feel he is racist, and being a white male, I'm the one who has to deal with it.

He wants to outlaw hand guns, and anything except a 1 shot bolt action rifle. That is violation of our rights.

He supports Israel 100% including continuing foreign aid. Why are they suckling on our tit?

He supports growing our army. For what exactly? I don't remember any major wars we need a bigger army, we have more than plenty!

He wants to add more aid towards povery (mostly Africa) by atleast double what it is now. Don't we have enough debt? Why not use that to pay off our bills since we are broke?

I think thats enough. I don't want to type out more.

You don't have to hate him to decide that he isn't the right person to be president.
It's a simple disagreement; hate's got nothing to do with it.

I don't hate RP2 either, but I think he's a loon and I wouldn't vote for him with a gun to my head.

You can agree or disagree with another person's views without hating them (or liking them, for that matter).

Something about Obama I really really do not trust at all..

This was posted in another thread
Any Obamaism:

- Obama for saying he?d campaigned in 57 states
- For not knowing that his home state of Illinois borders on Kentucky
- Claiming the Cuban Missile Crisis (October, 1962) was defused by President Kennedy?s summit meeting with Nikita Khruschchev (June, 1961).
- Said 10,000 people were killed when a tornado struck Greensburg, Kansas last year (the death toll was 12).
- and many more.

Can any one of those be true?

How exactly does his wife and/or church make it clear that he doesn't like white people? You ARE, of course, aware that he is half white? Have you been to his church? Have you taken in 20 years worth of material from that church to convince you the he doesn't like white people, or have you based this false presumption entirely on short clips that you've seen on youtube and/or fox news?

Church? So you are saying every person in that church and all churches .. like those hate white people? If obama hated white people, he wouldn't have so many white friends, etc. Look at Obama's history. He actually couldn't be friends with typical black people. During the times when neighborhoods changed into ghetto style, it didn't work for him, he tried it, and got away, got into Colombia and then harvard and became part of white community. And I think the reason he stayed away from negative black community is because of his white heritage. You should get some history lessons before accusing him of white person hater.

I don't think there has ever been a single presidential candidate where a list of little things like that was not produced and used as propaganda. Just ignore it. It means nothing.

Trillions of dollars are made on fear and hopelessness. Trillions to deaden the mind. Change is OK but not change that leads up. Satan thrives in despair. Listen to that inner voice. Do not risk or chance. Do not make a wave. Do not make a wave. The people in hell are up to their noses in shit. Do not make a wave. Oh no, not Obama, the gravatronic force.

RP has some seriously radical ideas. If Obama is the candidate of change Paul is the candidate of change everything.

If you listen to obama's speeches, he says, I might not have that large experience (McCain), however, I have the right judgement and the will of american people...

because I have fundamental disagreements with several of his policies, how hard is it to grasp?

edit: and what judgment? the judgment to say he didn't know how he would have voted on Iraq and that his position on the war is not far from George Bush's?

First, I don't hate Obama. I've never personally met the man so I can't say that I hate him.

I do however disagree with him strongly on tax policy, economic policy, foreign policy, health care policy, and other things he does like claiming he doesn't take money from lobbyists or PACs while at the same time having lobbyists and big money men from they very same industries he decries act as bundlers for him. Plus, his associations with radicals over the years.
